"We were told our luggage would be in our room by 4:00 PM, but it wasn’t delivered until 5:20 PM, causing us to miss our dinner reservation. The room was also extremely loud from street noise, and we couldn’t sleep until well after 1:30 AM. There was also an unexpected destination amenity fee.
When we raised these issues, we were told nothing could be done because we booked through a third party. Very disappointed, especially given the cost of the stay and missing the reservation that was one of the main reasons for our trip.
We made a complaint to the Director of Front Office and were told there was nothing they could do because we booked through a third party. This experience has made it clear that booking through Expedia offers no protection or support. I will book directly with hotels going forward.
