The staff were helpful but the property is under renovation. The restaurant and hotel lobby was in disarray. The beds slept okay but the room and hallway had an odd smell. Would not stay at this location again, as the pictures online do not look like like the property at this current time.

The hotel was very clean in common areas and in the rooms. In addition the staff was also very courteous and helpful throughout my stay. The complimentary breakfast was very tasty and the wait staff was pleasant. The property is located on a service road and does not appear to be near eateries, but the location does have quick access to the interstate which is a positive. I would consider staying at this property in the future.

The rooms smelled terrible, The staff smoked drugs in front of us. The breakfast was nonexistent and the cafe/grill that was advertised had not been open for years, according to the staff. The place smelled like unwashed bodies; the staff was unkempt. The AC barely worked and the beds were well worn.

We booked this hotel last minute on our drive home. First impression was the large group of smokers at the entrance just puffing away. The hotel staff on check-in was friendly and helpful. After checking in, we went to our room. Using the elevator, we found that the lights were ripped out and one could see the digital circuit board on the warning lights for the elevator. Entering the hallway from the elevator, you could smell how mold and musty it was. Entering the room, it smelled musty as well with a mix of cigarettes and marijuana. The bathroom door wouldn't close likely due to being installed improperly or door was not the correct size. The air was not clean smelling in the room. Even though we paid for it, staying here overnight was not an option unless one wanted catch some sort of fungal infection. We were able to quickly find another option at the Best Western in Slidell and left right away. For those of you considering a stay in Slidell, please stay away from here. They are one inspection or accident away from closing up. The price of the stay is not worth your health and safety.
