Near French Quarter, quiet, cheap, offstreet parking (20$ per night), soft bed, room well equipped but small, staff friendly. Hotel is run down and needs maintentnace. But for younger, adventurous visitors wanting inexpensive accommodation, I can recommend this hotel. For older, more particular guests, it might be good to find another.

Good location. Not the cleanest but over all fine. The AC unit in our room did not work whatsoever, lucky the ceiling fan was enough at night for me to stay cool. Sheets definitely had some old make up stains but overall it’s a true budget Nola motel.

I’ve traveled all over the US- from Georgia north to Michigan and Georgia to California, even to New England- and I’ve never had a nicer check in process or person than I did here. J was the nicest, most beautiful person who personally walked me to my room, knowing it was late and I had a 2 year old. (You can’t miss her- she has the most beautiful tan skin and eyes- I was so jealous lol)

We loved our stay at the Historic Mardi Gras Inn! It was clean, very roomy & the shower was HOT with great water pressure! Very cool colors, ample courtyard seating.. Cozy bed but the most pleasant part of all was the incredible customer service! Everyone was SO kind and warming, we felt warmly welcomed, we received amazing recommendations and truly were beyond impressed by ALL the staff. Our only complaint which is why we removed a star was the treatment of the staff by the owner or manager? Not sure who that man was that yelled at the front desk clerk but it was rude and uncalled for especially infront of guest but regardless could never happen ! We hate seeing other demeaned so that was unacceptable BUT I can’t take more stars because they do AMAZING WORK, the place is wonderful and we would stay here again! A little far from all the action but if you want something rural, something decent distance from Frenchman then this is your spot !

The staff were nice but that was pretty much the only positive. Street parking in Nola is always a challenge, especially in that neighborhood. While it's in a convenient location in the Marigny, you still might have a bit of a walk due to a lack of parking. The room was small and not well maintained, and the ac did not work.

Very bad, unclean balconies, cigarettes buds were scattered. Very smelly. Saw a staff smoking although mentions smoking prohibited on website. Had to leave immediately and booked another hotel. Room very cold. Unclean. Did not even stay one night. Also very expensive as per the conditions. Total lost of all money. Also area was unsafe told by ride share driver.

Walkable area. Comfortable room. The sweet lady at the desk was amazing. Loved how close to Frenchmen Street and the French market. 10/10 would recommend.

There are shops in walking distance. Easy parking, great air-conditioning in the room just a strong stench of perfume seem to be sprayed to cover up a stale smell. Not a pleasant smell, especially for someone who has asthma or suffer with allergies. The upstairs walkway has old weak wood in certain areas. Overall, it’s a very historical hotel with a bit of old world charm. It’s just time for some repairs to be done.

It was a beautiful place, very comfy, the colors were spectacular and it is in a very good location. The only problem is we were there 3 days and there was no cleaning of our room, we quickly ran out of soap. Also Expedia says that the check in is at 7am, but the check in was actually at 3pm. Luckily, they let us check in before.

I knew exactly when I pulled up and there was no onsite parking it was gonna be bad the floor wasn’t done, there was a old run down chair that needs to be thrown away, the tub was small and dirty the sheets had stains and the AC needed dusting it blew cold air though some guy knocked on my door in the middle of the night and there was almost a problem because I carry. I woke up early to check out and the office was closed but there was a woman sitting outside that said I could just leave the key with her um no Ma’am. I lost money but I went and got a room at the QC hotel it was super nice but that’s what I get for looking for something fun and quirky.

Totally neglected room. Dirty. Sheets not clean. No electricity to our room. King size. After an hour of waiting on power we got a different room with a tiny bed for 2 people. No remorse from front desk. I will try to dispute from expedia to get some sort of refund.

We stayed here for one night and thankfully no more. Granted we were there for Mardi Gras weekend, but there was really no excuse for how disgusting that room was. I could tell no clean towels were put out because there was a previous guest's hair tie on top of the towels on the towel rack. Every surface was tacky and gross. The AC situation is an indoor unit attached to a hole in the wall. The only control was to turn it off. The filter inside it looked like it had been there since the first Regan administration and the carpet looked like it had been there that long too. The room smelled of cigarette smoke and there were no windows in our room. I would NEVER stay here again and I'm pretty forgiving.

The room was basically clean. But the structure has not been maintained. Part of the door molding was completely missing and part was ripped and repaired with foam. The beside lamps were RUSTY, like painted white but with huge rust spots, and not like fake rust trying to look old, but actual rust. No bedspread, only sheets. Only two face towels at first, although staff did get me bath towels. The staff was very nice, and was responsive. There was a lot of noise every night, but it's Mardi Gras, so you can't really expect it to be quiet. But when the couple next door started yelling, I called the desk and a security guard came up immediately and quieted them down. There is a security gate that bangs loudly every time someone goes through it. Nothing staff can do about that. But they did what they could to help with problems that they could do something about. So 5 stars for the staff. 1 star for the building.

Everything is wonderful here, from the lovely, welcoming staff, unique rooms, decor, patio, all enclosed secured gait, location is spot on, parking is available, I stay here often, always have an amazing stay here :)
