I stayed at the Hotel AKA Back Bay in Boston last summer and really enjoyed it, so chose Hotel AKA again for my recent stay in New York. Spacious room by NYC standards, very clean and well appointed with wardrobe, shelf and drawer space. Particularly enjoyed the excellent rain shower and high-quality bath amenities. Friendly, helpful staff. Only complaint: thermostat would not go below 70, which for me (I sleep hot) meant a choice between tossing and turning from too-warm room or street noise from open window (thank goodness it opened).
