My stay at the Hudson was terrible. First at 3:45pm upon checking in staff told me the room was still being cleaned. Upon entering the so called luxury hotel with a patio it was very clear the only luxury part was the entrance. Our room was disgusting. There were greasy handprints on the front door, a screw coming out of the lock, the sink wasn’t cleaned because the top handle was dirty, the night stands were chipped and warped, the paneling by the TV was peeling, the top of the refrigerator was rusted and gross, the back patio we had house keeping never cleaned it. Upon opening the door at some point a party was had because there was marijuana blunts left all over the place, they had a champagne bottle top left, hand warmer wrappers, cigarette butts, and you could see they put out the butts on the table because it was ash burns on the table. Also they charge you an additional $25 per night stay which no one tells you about until after you check in. So on top of the $100 deposit you have that additional charge too. When I went to speak to staff about the room and charges. Staff told me housekeeping does not clean or check the back. They told me they’d have housekeeping clean the next day. That didn’t happen. So I would never recommend the Hudson Yard Hotel to anyone. Awful stay.

Good price for the location. Its clean and modern. some rooms do need to be touch up so it wont look dingy. But It was cute and In loved the adult vibe!

The only saving grace of this property was the staff. They were attentive, friendly, and hospitable. They helped me and answered all my questions and that's what gives any positivity to my stay. The hotel is beat up. It's seen better days. The construction of the bar is clearly on hold indefinitely. The room was....tough. The lamps and end tables were from TJ Maxx. There was no closet, rather a plastic series of tubes that snapped together with a few old hangers in the corner for me to use. The previous tenant was still signed into the spotify account on the TV. The toilet ran every 15 minutes or so. The paint was peeling on the ceiling. The HVAC vent was in the desk, which made half of the area unusable. The room itself was frigid. I don't know if the windows aren't properly sealed or if they're not double paned, etc. They did nothing to insulate the room and it was not a horrible cold series of days in NYC. I would not stay here again.

The room was not clean, there was underwear left from last person. Tape on the ceiling, mildew in shower. The room they put our stuff in holding before check in had a flood and smelled of mildew. The carpet was soaked the man who helped told us he told management many times about the leak.

Front desk staff was kind and accommodating. The amenities were nice but some things were broken. The only real issue I had was the cleanliness of the room. I felt I needed slippers because the floors weren’t clean. The sheets were okay but they had a lot of lint of them. Then there were minor things like a spill that wasn’t wiped properly from prior guests. These are easy fixes and I would stay again they are just things to think about going forward.

This hotel is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at. Everything is broken, from the television remote to the toilet. The sink was also clogged, the soap holder was broken, and the heater sounded like a tractor, which made it hard to sleep at night because it was so loud. Even the elevator was broken. We asked for ice and were told to go down to the lobby to get it. When I got there, they gave us a bag of ice, by the time we got to the room, the ice had melted. There was no room service and no telephone in the room. I would not recommend this hotel.

There is a $25 per night “amenities fee” that they conveniently never mention anywhere. I only found out because my card was randomly charged at 1 a.m. The “amenities” they claim you’re paying for are a joke. Wi-Fi (which Expedia already says is free), a pool table sitting in the lobby, and a water station that was broken the entire time we were there. They also claim you get two complimentary water bottles at check-in, which we never received. Then there’s the security deposit lie. They advertise a $100 deposit, but they charged us $200 instead. When we confronted them about it, the manager admitted her staff “weren’t supposed to do that” and said they were “untrained” because the hotel is in a transition with ownership. Apparently that’s their excuse for everything. The funny part is if you read the reviews, people have been hearing the exact same “we’re in transition” excuse for over a year. So either they’ve been “transitioning” forever or it’s just their go-to excuse for incompetence. I also still haven’t gotten the deposit back. The front desk couldn’t explain random charges and got immediately hostile. Over two days, they tried to charge me 13 times—I had to lock my card to stop them. The room is barebones, Wi-Fi is awful, and the shower doesn’t drain. Housekeeping banged on our door at 8 a.m., tried to open it while we were inside, and only showed up once, barely cleaning. Hidden fees, broken amenities, and hostile staff make this place a nightmare. RUN RUN RUN!!!
