On my first night I was startled awake on my first night by the sound of a rat rummaging through the trash can. When I turned the light on, it jumped out and ran across the bed. It was extremely unsettling and I had trouble sleeping for the rest of the stay. I don’t feel like I got the experience I paid for because I was very on edge for the entire stay due to the incident and could not relax. When I reached out to the property asking for a refund, they only refunded me $38 of my almost $500 stay that I didn’t even enjoy. I strongly recommend that no one stays at this hotel.

The place wasn't clean. There were rats in my room. After complaining about it, we were moved to a much smaller room. They did not issue me any refund for moving me to a room that I had not booked for. The management was rude when I discussed this issue.

Despite requests to clean room. Nothing was done. When I inquired I was told no housekeeping available. But on the floors I saw numerous housekeeping staff working through the night. Front staff highly unhelpful and rude. Trash and other refuse left on floors. Pictures showing room inaccurate. No walk in shower as pictured. We have mobility issues so this was a problem. Breakfast was simply awful. Broken machines and worse. A rat was spotted in the hallway. For more than $300 dollars a night, this was totally unacceptable

I absolutely loved staying here for a second time. The staff is so attentive and always available. The breakfast was yummy with oatmeal, fresh fruit, muffins, toast, eggs and protein. I can’t wait to come back!

Just what we needed. Right next to Central Park and it was easy enough to walk through it over the fifth Avenue. We definitely would stay there again.

I stayed at this hotel for seven days. First of all, the girls at the front desk were always very friendly and helped me resolve an issue with my payment method. The rooms are small but functional, with everything you need to sleep and wash. The elevator broke down more than three times during those seven days. I was on the 10th floor, so I had to go up and down the stairs several times (I recommend requesting a room on the lower floors in case the elevator fails). The breakfast is adequate and good, although there isn't much variety. Without a doubt, the best thing about the hotel is its location, just a few meters from Central Park and nearby subway stations. The neighborhood is very quiet and the people are very friendly. I would definitely stay there again, as I had a good stay overall!

The staff at La Quinta were the best part of the stay. The hotel physical environment was dingy and decrepit. Our room had what looked like blood or ketchup stains on the wall under the television, there were holes in the walls and plastered up parts in both the bedroom and the bathroom. The bathroom tub drain was slow so when showering, the water did not go down quickly, nor did the water drain properly in the bathroom sink. In the second night, we had no heat in the room and it was 8 degrees outside with the wind chill factor. We had to sit in the lobby because we were too cold to stay in our room. The air conditioner/heating unit only blew cool air. We were told we would not be charged for the second night but have yet to receive a refund.

The room was pretty clean, very small, but all I needed. The staff, especially Mike, were great. Breakfast was fine, though the hard boiled eggs served hot the one day weren't great. Loved the free coffee all day, and can't beat that location right off Central Park West. I'd definitely stay there again next time I'm there for museum research.

Room was good. Clean and the bed was comfy. Room service/cleaning was only upon request so we didn't use it for our 2 night stay. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only thing I noticed was the lobby wasn't super clean. Peoples bags (we did the smae0 were kind of all over/spread out and even behind the check in desk was full of papers. But the floor would have random trash/;eaves on it. but I know it was super cold and windy outside and there was a lot of foot traffic in and out.

Grubby carpets throughout, stained and soiled with anti-cockroach treatment. Shower head (in cramped shower room) dripped constantly making sleep difficult at night. Toilet blocked and overflowed. Told there was no one available/qualified to attend. Given plunger and towels to deal with it. Positive experience with breakfast - good variety/availability . Overall disappointing and expensive for what you get.

My group of three stayed from Wednesday to Sunday. Upon check-in on Wednesday, we informed the front desk that our room did not have enough pillows and that the room phone was completely out of order (the cord was severed). We were told a technician would be sent to fix the phone. Later that evening, after asking twice about the pillows, I returned to the front desk and was told they were out of pillows. At that time, we were again told someone would be sent to fix the phone. Unfortunately, no one ever came to repair it during our entire five-day stay. Additionally, the front desk associate seemed more focused on talking with a friend than assisting us. For the nearly $2,000 we spent, we expected a much nicer experience. The room door felt flimsy, appeared damaged, and was noticeably dirty throughout the whole room. Overall, this stay did not meet expectations, and we are unlikely to stay here again.

An expensive stay in NYC ~$600/night. The room was ok. Television entertainment was extremely limited. Bathroom was the size of a small closet and was freezing (no heat in that area of the room) the hallway was poorly kept (very dusty). It looked like it has not been dusted or vacuumed ever! The breakfast was ok and the staff were very customer oriented. The location; however is unbeaten. Not sure I would return.

This is the worst experience I have ever had at a hotel. We showed up to check in and they informed us that they overbooked and no longer had a room for 3 available. They suggested we cancel and find somewhere else to stay with no offer of assistance. It was the hotel’s fault, they over booked, and it became our problem. We were then 2 hours late to the event we were here to attend because we had to find a new place to stay. I am appalled by this hotel and will never stay at a Wyndham again. Horrible customer service!

This room was not fit for a human. It was terribly small, dirty and there were no towels. It was also very cold; the heat did not function well.

Not too bad if you don’t need heat, or if you don’t mind the resident rat scratching around the wall at night. Bring your own wifi hotspot because two of the rooms they moved us into did not have wifi. Ours had really good wifi but the tv did not work. Oh well, a sleeping bag on the street would do just as well.
