First impressions, the staff at the main desk were excellent. The property could use little clean up outside when I booked the hotel, I didn’t know they were gonna charge me $44 to valet my car, but I do recommend the hotel strongly.

The hotel was very conveniently located near LaGuardia airport and had a reliable shuttle service. The shuttle staff and front desk staff were wonderful. The only issue was the rooms have not been refreshed in many years had a strong smell of stale cigarette smoke (room 1) and a very strong smell of Chlorox (room 2).

We did not stay since the hotel is no longer in business. It is now a homeless shelter. We had to frantically find another room for the night just a couple hours before our concert. This hotel should be removed from all sites so this doesn’t happen to someone else.

Won't use Hotels.com again

The hotel was closed for renovation and we were moved to a new hotel in an area we didn't want to stay, and we were denied a chance to cancel. I called Marriott and they said Hotels.com was informed of the closure in January but we were not informed until mid-May.

This property needs to be removed. There is no public Access. It has been secured by the City of NY or Homeland Security as a welcome center for Migrants and Asylum seekers. Take this property of the system immediately. No a hotel!

Expedia never relayed to us that we were "re-routed" to another Marriott in the area. So after paying a large Uber cost to get to the hotel we booked, we walked in to find it was converted 6 months ago into an immigration shelter. We had to take another Uber to a different Marriott on the other side of the airport.

I know we were lucky to find room at the Springhill during the US Open but I was disappointed to see the state of our room given the price we paid. Although the beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space (we were put in an ADA room), I just couldn’t get passed the stains all over the carpet! They made the room tue room look so dirty - even though it wasn’t. Otherwise our stay was enjoyable - breakfast was good, the staff was helpful, and tue location couldn’t have been better.

Not a comfortable place

Basic. The room was at best, basic. No comfort. Not terribly bad, but for the price point I expected better. The mattress was uncomfortable. The linens were suspect (fortunately I know to plan for that). Not what I expect from a Marriott property. Oh yeah, the pull out sofa was a joke. We were not comfortable, and spent very little time in the room. We have had better in other New York hotels and expected that this would hold the Marriott standard. Not at all. The people were nice. The hotel was not.

I went to this hotel in 08/19/2022 to 08/20/2022 with my fiancé. I normally never write a review. But this needed to be shared to others thinking about going there. My fiancé and I plan a mini little get away from the city. When we checked in and got into the room the bed had someone hair all in it, it had an awful smell in the room, and It was a weird sound all night coming from the bathroom also. What really put the icing on the cake was Aug 20th morning. My fiancé had to leave the hotel early to be at work by 8am. When we checked in we was told twice check out time was at 12pm. When my fiancé and I split ways that morning. I came back up to the room with my breakfast. Housekeeping at 7:30am just walk in without knocking or anything. At 8am housekeeping knocked and told me I must leave right now with an attitude. Leaving the room so lost and confused about why. I talked to the manager downstairs about it. The manager didn’t do anything at all about what I shared. So, I highly do not recommended this hotel to anyone. If I could give it lower then what I can give it I would

Room didn’t feel overly clean. Beds were comfortable though. Except the pull out sofa which was gross and the mattress was terrible. Breakfast was great! Staff was awesome!
