To start, i had reserved a balcony room, paid a little extra. When i got to our room the balcony door was screwed shut and so dirty we couldn’t see out of it at all so we had 0 view of anything, i went to the front desk and they offered me an upgrade for 50 dollars but i wanted what i had booked, they continued to say balconies were being worked on and not accessible to anyone…so i went to my friends room who booked the same room and she had a balcony to go out on and the glass was clean enough to look out. When i got back to my room i realized we had no towels, the room door had to be slammed shut and open if not the door would stay open. We also had no remote for the air conditioner which would have been fine if i could open the door to the balcony. The table in the room was also broken and we couldnt use it and we also didnt have a chair. Location was terrific but we’re planning our next trip for a hotel down the road a little More expensive but at least ill get what i pay for and not offered to pay for an upgrade that probably would be less quality than what i thought i reserved. Also front desk only answered once when we called down and on the second night the towels i went down to get were gone, no one answered the front desk so i went down and grabbed them myself and took the loud creaky elevator back up. Has potential to be an amazing place if someone just took care of it.

This place is a total dump. Banged up furniture, dusty everything and a half inch space around the bathroom sink that can only be described as an OCD nightmare. The ice smelled, windows were filthy, bunk beds from HELL and a teeny tiny warm refrigerator. The elevator literally sounds like it’s coming through the ceiling and takes 5-20 minutes to get to you. We spent $100 at another place the last evening and it was night and day. Gross, don’t stay here, please.

Tiny room in a really old building, the room was dirty and had the bare minimum, elevator not accessible most of the time, dead flies in the bathroom ceiling.

Absolutely disgusting property. Dirty old, no service. This place is a dump. No hot water, heat in room on full blast and could jot turn off. It was 90 degrees in the room. There’s a club downstairs that has base thumping till 4am Saturday and Sunday nights…no one at the desk to complain to…not even the room phone worked. This is a hostel at best

I am not typically a complainer, by any means, but the hotel was not representative of what was advertised. Our first room had sticky spills all over the floor, marks on the bed cover, and piles of dust everywhere, broken phone and no lighting. Upon being moved to a second room, it was still filled with thick layers of dust behind the night tables and the rest of hotel was not what was shown on the photos at all. They are in the midst of a renovation, which is fine, but definitely was not being cleaned accordingly. The elevators were much, much older and everyone was nervous about being on them based on the awful noise coming from the shaft and the rickety ride that made everyone question their safety.

We had the family room which was nice to spread out, but was by the elevators which are noisy, when working. Most of the time we were here at least one was not working. There were no wash cloths.

If you have to waste your money in Manhattan this is OK for small room, stupid bathroom with horrible shower with busted head, zero vanity space, crappy slow elevators. No chair no desk. But at least it's reasonably quiet and a competitive price for the location. Oversized TV but no guide.

Great for a family of 4 exploring the city. The bunk beds meant our teens each had their own bed, a queen for the adults was a rare treat in NYC, it wasn’t too expensive, and the location is fabulous. Two blocks to TKTS, subway is just a little farther than that, close to theaters and restaurants. Walked to St Patrick’s and the Easter Bonnet parade. Lots of easy food nearby- the Z deli, the Starbucks, the Asian restaurant next door (excellent). Housekeeping cleaned thoroughly. Desk staff was nice, easy to leave out luggage with the bell station. The elevators are in need of replacement and the rooms need a refresh, which we heard are coming soon. Hopefully the prices stay approachable. Will definitely return.

ACHTUNG ABZOCKE: Ein gebuchter Doubleroom ist nach Auffassung des Hotels ein Raum mit einem Doppelbett, obwohl auf dem Bild bei der Buchung zwei Zimmer in einem Raum und zwei getrennte Betten gezeigt werden. Hab vor Ort nicht diskutieren können und ein Einzelzimmer mit zwei Einzelbetten plus 15$ Aufschlag pro Tag bekommen. Expedia hat sich hier nicht wirklich für mich eingesetzt und an das Hotel verwiesen. Das war der Abfuck No.1 Es wird jedem dort gefallen, wenn man auf folgende Hoteleigenschaften steht: Klebrige Oberflächen und klebrige Böden, mangelhafte bis lebensgefährliche Elektroinstallation, teilweise kaltes Wasser zum Duschen, wenig bis keine Ablageflächen im Bad, Eine laute Klimaanlage die nicht einstellbar ist und einen um den Schlaf bringt, schlecht schließende und ungedämmte Tür zum Flur. Jede Jugenherberge erfüllt einen wesentlich höheren Standard. Never again!!!!

The elevators were not consistent at all. They kept passing our floor whether we were on the first floor or the twelfth. There were no towels in our room. The shower did not have a door. Very odd! Good overall as we were only staying one night to sleep, but I would not want to stay longer than that. Staff was great!

Property could use some upgrades… we were lucky to get a room with working AC but the common areas and halls were super hot. I thought we would get stuck on the very small elevators everytime we got on. I had to travel for about 30 minutes to find a working ice maker. Peeling paint on room walls and we never received wash cloths, had to use hand towels to bathe with. But the location is great!

Door to the bathroom broken, almost stock in elevator. Some of the lights in the bathroom didn’t work. Was a wrong name on TV I guess this room supposed to be someone else and they changed it for the same reasons.

場所がブロードウェイの中心だったので宿泊費が安すぎと思っていました。とても便利でカーネギーホール、METなど地下鉄使ってすぐでした。ただとても暑くて、クーラーを使用、音が大きかったです。また泊まりたいと思います。夜中12時前に着いてスタッフの方とても親切に対応してくれました

There was a piece of dirty plywood covering the window and air conditioner with cold air coming through. House keeping gave us attitude about cleaning the room so they could "go home early." The shower leaked and was unfinished, soaking the floor. One of the lobby lights was flickering and broken like from a scary movie. A terrible hotel in a great location.

When we arrived they told us our room type was not available. We were 6 people, therefore needed the room that had the 2 double beds plus the bunk bed. The lady in the front desk was shouting to the employee over the walkie talkie frustrated because they had taken our room type out of service for no apparent reason. She told us she would have to give us 2 rooms. That was not going to work for us. We planned this trip in advance and wanted to remain together in one room. Finally after going back and forth, she said the room was available. The hotel is a bit run down, needs to be updated a bit. After we checked out, I left some items behind. I was calling them for hours. They would either not respond to the telephone or when they finally did, they would hang up on me although I was simply trying to find out if they had my things. I had to ask my nephew to drive me from New Jersey to the hotel just to go in person and find out. I was glad that I had not yet flew back home to Florida because I would have never gotten a response from them if they had my things or not. When I arrived for my items, the janitor walked to the room and the items weren't there anymore. He then said he can check the lost and found but it turned out that they never placed the items in the lost and found. Instead they were stuffed in a plastic bag inside a cleaning personnel closet. No one knew it was there! Not happy about how the situation was handled both occasions, during check-in and after check out.

The pictures online did not capture what the hotel actually was and made it look much nicer. The hallways were extremely narrow, our room had a dirty tissue in the floor, hair on the bed and pillows, and fecal matter left in the toilet. We left immediately after checking in.
