Very Quiet, Clean and Comfortable

Located across the street from Central Park. Wonderful service and comfortable beds. Our room was very quiet and we did not hear any street or outside noise at all.

I have stayed at the Sherry Netherland for many years, and it's always a delight. The mid-town location is perfect, the hotel is elegant and quiet, but there is lots of action in the bar.

Excellent location within walking distance to museums, dining, Broadway, shopping and Central Park. We did use taxi service for convenience and speed. The hotel staff treated us excellent. Room service was timely and good. The room was very clean. Being very picky here, the chairs in the living area needed to be updated. The seat cushions had to be flipped often as the interior padding was crushed.The hotel is old yet maintained with most of the rooms used for residents.

Everything about this stay was truly wonderful up until about 10:00 am the day of check-out. I left from 8:00 - 10:00 am to go tour the flower district and came back to a room literally filled with smoke. I called the front desk, they came immediately, and I left. I received no follow up or apology until I left a personal review note for the hotel. They then did apologize and offered a complimentary night if I were to return. I am afraid that I won't be returning, because it was a little scary. Hopefully they will get their furnace, or whatever, fixed before someone wakes in the middle of the night to a room filled with smoke. Great size and location.
