He showed me how to access once the pub was closed, helped me empty the bags from the car and carried them to our room all with a friendly, nothing was too much trouble approach. "The thermostat to the radiators didn’t work so we couldn’t turn the temperature down and were therefore uncomfortably hot and got limited sleep. The mattress added to the lack of sleep as it was very uncomfortable. The door to our room you could close from the inside with a hard shove but you couldn’t close from the outside so we couldn’t leave anything valuable in the room. "A lovely welcome, quick and simple check-in. Plenty of free parking outside each room. Clean room, excellent powerful shower, comfy bed with fresh linen. Quick service in the restaurant, full & varird menu and attentive staff. Comprehensive breakfast with tasty, well-cooked food. Well recommended! "

"I didn’t have breakfast so cannot comment, but it looked fresh. Had a coffee but was luke warm, could not be warmed up as it was from a machine. Staff super helpful when I requested to move to a bigger room. Manager was very helpful too. The only thing that let the hotel down is that the walls and floors could be thicker, a family that were staying seemed to let their children run free, up and down the corridors! Was annoying. Could not hear the traffic noise at all. Aircon was nice....
