"We arrived rather late (after 9.00pm), was a bit tricky to find in the dark, but we managed it! Greeted by Hilde - lovely lady. Took us to our rooms, which were lovely & comfortable & clean. Allowed full use of the lounge & kitchen. There were 3 of us (adults). Very spacious. Shower lovely. Breakfast choice amazing. We stayed here having visited Bruges. Would definitely return & recommend. "

"Short 1 night stay to break up journey across Europe. Sadly breakfast not available, but plenty of places available a short walk from the premises. Check in and getting room key was straightforward with plenty of information prior to arrival. Room was very spacious, modern and well equipped. Everything was in good order and clean. "Stunning property in a wonderful location. However, style over substance with the rooms and service. There is limited room to put anything, as surfaces are covered in ornaments. There was no full length mirror. Grounds were beautiful, but they appeared understaffed, and struggled to meet requests such as extra pillows (as we only got one each), and unable to man the bar when checking in guests etc. Had an unfortunate incident where we were made to feel like an inconvenience rather than a guest....

"Quality of the hotel is very good. Rustic rooms in a quiet and central location. We stayed in camelia room and shower doesn't have much ventilation therefore we can see damp and doesn't smell pleasant. We have been charged with 50 euros in the check in for my 5 year old son eventhough he slept in same bed with us and expedia guest policy clearly indicates child is allowed to stay in the room with you. "

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The owner is very welcoming, and knowledgeable about the city. Our room was comfortable with a balcony overlooking the street. The breakfasts were fantastic. The location is just outside the city wall so it's quiet, but everything is walkable. If we return to Bruges we will definitely stay here."

"Beautiful hotel with intricate interior throughout which is a wonderful setting to base a stay in Bruges. The hotel is run by John and Michael who are the most incredible hosts, with nothing too much trouble and an incredibly warm welcome. We arrived late on a Friday evening but we're greeted and shown to our room with lots of information about the city. The breakfast is excellent, with lots of choice and high quality fresh ingredients from yoghurt, fruits, granola, breads and pastries, eggs...
