Sonesta St George Hotel Luxor
6/10 Okay
"The hotel is good, however the royal suite was not really royal - the beds are basically 2 individual beds out together, so there is a whole in the middle of the bed and it’s very uncomfortable to sleep there. The A/C was not getting below 24C and so it was pretty hot to sleep in sometimes."

Pyramisa Hotel Luxor
10/10 Excellent
"The resort was awesomely maintained and kept beautiful, the pools were very nice. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful towards our stay, the room service is also good."

Basma Executive Club
8/10 Good
"Small, quiet hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Restaurant in the hotel is pretty good, and there is an additional restaurant just down the hill. It is the same menu, but a change of scenery no less."

Hilton Luxor Resort & Spa
10/10 Excellent
"This hotel is situated along the Nile River in Luxor. It offers several outdoor restaurant/bar options that create great opportunities for memorable sunsets. Really beautiful!"

The Temple Hotel Luxor
10/10 Excellent
"This place took me by surprise, as I had no idea it was so grand when I booked it through Hotels.com. Marble everywhere, huge hallways, three restaurants: - upscale French; casual Italian (delicious lasagna); and a bistro where breakfast is served. There’s also a cozy pub and an outdoor lounge on the roof-top, pool deck, where the chefs pick herbs from the gardens. The customer service throughout the hotel was excellent. I was upgraded to a king room with a balcony offering a lovely view over The Nile to the West Bank - including Hatshepsut’s Mortuary Temple - and I watched the sun go down over the pharaoh’s tombs. The room was spacious and well fitted out: the bed comfortable and the shower hot and strong. I ordered the American breakfast one morning and the most amazing amount of food arrived for the meagre sum of EGP250! Customer Service Manager, Esraa (formerly of the famous Winter Palace Hotel), is an Egyptian goddess who can and does make anything happen: like my very late checkout 🙏. I was instantly addicted to the welcome drink (a secret recipe) and she ensured that my cravings were sated! I had a luxurious three night stay and would happily return."

Obelisk Nile Hotel Aswan
8/10 Good
"Wow, did I luck out with this hotel or should I say resort? It’s located right on The Nile at water level. All the other hotels in Aswan are behind the Corniche, with the exception of the famous Old Cataract which is out of my budget and actually set further up on the cliffs. My favourite spot was out on the lounge swing at the water’s edge with a view of the West Bank. My room was set along the riverfront in a long line of rooms. It was spacious with a comfortable bed (not always a given in this region); large washroom (with too short a glass wall to stop the water from flooding the floor); kettle, coffee and tea; TV; a short bench for carry-on size luggage only; and a work desk. There are two restaurants, a waterside cafe and a huge pool deck with music and a bar. Breakfast was included with my booking and the array of dishes on offer was impressive. It’s a good location for shopping and was also just a short distance down the bank from my Nile cruise boat. This is the place to stay in Aswan, unless you can afford the Old Cataract!"

Steigenberger Nile Palace
10/10 Excellent
"Super helpful staff, best sleep we've had in Egyot."

The Zen Wellness Resort
8/10 Good
"The hotel is outside Aswan in New Aswan (about 20 minutes drive) so is very remote. It's a gorgeous location overlooking the Nile with the pools all facing that way. There are two gyms, one tiny one in the hotel itself and the other one where they need to drive you 10 minutes to the spa. We didn't realise that as it was a shame as the impression given was it was on site, but the drive meant it wasn't convenient and we couldn't use it based on the timings of our activities. Staff at breakfast were very friendly but the selection was fairly limited."

Djorff Palace
10/10 Excellent
"I will 100% stay here when I come back. The palace is CLEAN, QUIET, and BEAUTIFUL. The entire hotel was architecturally beautiful and clean. I was one of a few guests at the hotel and felt/was treated like royalty. The owner is a wonderful, kind, and helpful woman. The hotel offers a free boat to cross to the east bank which was a blessing. With the hotel being on the West Bank, there is little noise at night meaning you can hear all the sounds the Nile has to offer. Absolutely wonderful hotel - one of the best I’ve stayed at around the world."
