"I was really looking forward to my time in Amsterdam, but this stay was a massive disappointment. Between the lack of hygiene and some very questionable management practices, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. The most alarming part of the stay was the complete lack of security regarding luggage. When we needed to store our bags, the staff just let us walk into the storage closet by ourselves. Anyone could have easily walked off with someone else's belongings. It felt incredibly unsafe and unprofessional. The cleanliness was also well below par. There was a persistent, heavy smell of mold in the room that made it feel damp and unhygienic. It’s clear that maintenance and deep cleaning are not a priority here. There was staining on the iron board, sofa, and the shower curtains were nasty. The women working the morning shift were not welcoming or kind. It felt like a burden just to speak with them. The staff working at night were much nicer and more helpful, but their kindness couldn't make up for the overall state of the hotel. Overall, the combination of a moldy environment and the "self-service" security for personal property makes this a place to avoid. "

"Had 4 nights in beautiful clean twin room. Staff were very helpful. Didn't eat there so can't comment on the food. Would highly recommend and would return."

"Twin room was larger than I thought it would be. Quite clean. Staff were helpful and friendly for the most part. A couple of evening "concierge" men were rude and not helpful. The morning one was awesome. One more criticism - the shower floor is extremely slippery. My granddaughter slipped and I did also. Grab bars and a textured floor would make them so much safer! Overall, it was a great stay, very very close to everything near Centraal station. "

"We recently stayed at ibis budget Amsterdam as a group of 12 for a family wedding, and overall had a really positive experience. Travelling with a large group can be stressful, but everything ran smoothly and the hotel was well-organised and accommodating. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and perfect for what we needed during our stay. A special mention has to go to Abdi, who was extremely helpful and welcoming from the moment we arrived. He went out of his way to make sure our group was looked after, answered all our questions, and made the whole experience much easier for us. His friendly attitude really stood out and made a big difference. Thank you to the team for helping make our trip to Amsterdam so enjoyable. We would definitely consider staying here again!"
