"The location is excellent. Right on the beach, but isolated a little from the rest of the crowded beaches of the reatif virginia beach's resort area. However, checking in with the night crew was a disaster. I had to wait almost thirty mins for Todd to check in the guest before me. Then he checked me into the wrong room and told me that was the only room available. When I finally got to the room the door wouldn't accept the key. "Biggest issue was parking - pay too much for valet and I parked my own car even… since it is in front of the hotel. Menu was good but limited. I unfortunately stayed when they were industrial cleaning carpets. Pool was closed and staff couldn’t tell me if or when it would open. 3 stars"

"Great stay. I’d it again by myself or with my wife but I wouldn’t want her to stay by herself. Well lit but shady spots at night. No security. Elevators smelled like cigarettes because not everyone oveys rules and some smoke on outside stairs by apartment entrances. Again, no security. Loved beach access and peaceful atmosphere. My wife enjoyed the coffee, small breakfast, and outdoor dining patio."

"This is a spectacular little boutique hotel in downtown Norfolk. The location is great for walking to the theater and the water district. There’s dining everywhere. The biggest bonus is the glass art museum that’s included with your stay."

"Smithfield Station is great for a weekend getaway. The restaurant serves delicious food and has a great Sunday breakfast buffet."

"We had a wonderful time. The rooms were very clean. All the employees were very helpful and friendly. The girl at the front desk during the day was extremely helpful! The beds were very comfortable. I slept like a rock. We will stay there again."

"The room was clean enough I guess. Definitely could have been better. The door between the living room and bedroom had a door handle but no bolt so the door couldn't be closed. The shower curtain rod was falling off the wall and they filled the gap with silicone, the beds had very lumpy mattress pads on them and the mattresses were very stained. We were only given 3 sets of towels for a room that sleeps 6. The pool was never open so we didn't get to use it. The common areas werent the cleanest....
