"Mediocre hotel. Area is close to everything but at the same time not. Not great options of restaurants/ breakfasts within walking distance. Not a great walk period. Staff seem very unsure of the area and what’s around. Pool does not reflect photos. Breakfast is questionable ….half a table of “buffet” breakfast for $38…. Just take it off and keep à la carte. Overall clean property. But I would not choose it as my stay again."

"If you want the real Hollywood scene, look no further. The Hollywood Roosevelt brings the old-world charm and classic LA energy that you want from a legendary neighborhood. Plus, you’re right on Hollywood Boulevard—an easy walk to the El Capitan, the Chinese Theatre, and all the action. The service here is absolutely first-rate. A huge shout-out to Mo at valet, Rocco handling the bags, and Mark & Benjamin at the front desk, who went completely out of their way to lock in the exact room we wanted in the tower. They genuinely care about making sure you're happy. We’ve been loyal guests here for a long time, and it’s our go-to spot every single time we're in town. Do yourself a favor and book a stay here!"

"Pros: Check-in was pretty easy. It is right next to a Denny's and a block away from a Target which was convenient. The beds were comfortable and plenty of parking. Cons: The rooms were okay. It was quite stuffy and since we had a pet with us, I'm sure we were given a room designated to guests with pets because the room smelled so just be ready for that. Some things needs updating and the layout of the room wasn't the best: Bathroom wasn't draining and there's no microwave (or maybe it's extra to have a room with a microwave)"

"Excellent stay at Loews Hotel, from the time I arrived the staff was exceptional. Check-in was smooth, the representative was very professional, warm, accommodating, and informative. I can’t say enough about how polite and welcoming the entire staff was. Everyone from the bellmen to housekeeping. The location was great with plenty of shops and places to eat a short walk away. Hollywood Boulevard is only a short block away as well and the mall is connected to the property. The hotel coffee bar offered a lot of goodies, but a little on the pricey side. I ventured out and tried the cheese pizza, unfortunately for me it was edible but not great. My only complaint was that the room had a musty smell. It appeared like the room hadn’t been used in a while not to mention there was no exhaust in the bathroom so showering was interesting. Overall it was an excellent stay, and I would definitely recommend to anyone traveling to LA."

"The Redeeming Amenities: - Location is 10 minutes walking distance from Universal City Walk - Free cocktail upon check-in - The bartender in the lobby is incredibly skilled and fascinating to talk to The Bad: - Everything was cheap (doors, soap/shampoo/conditioner, furniture, ect…) - Only had cable - Half the outlets didn’t work - The door didn’t close fully unless you slammed it shut - Beds were the most uncomfortable beds I’ve been in - You pay an extra $300 at check-in for a 4 night stay for “Parking and fees” - Elevator buttons randomly did not work (kept turning off after being pressed several times) - The pool is in a corner of the parking garage in uncomfortable lighting, and is not heated - The “gym” is 3 cardio machines and nothing else, not even weights"
