"The Darling is a beautiful and luxurious hotel. We had a wonderful experience here that began with the lovely lady at check in who was so nice, polite. friendly and extremely helpful. We were celebrating my husband's 60th Birthday and had booked a beautiful Stellar Suite for 2 nights. As we opened the door to our room, to our surprise, we realised that we had been upgraded to one of the amazing Penthouse suites!! Our Room was spotless, beds comfortable 6 seater table next to kitchen. 2 huge opening doors/windows in both east and North aspect overlooking the beach. The pool area is lovely with a minimal 1.3metre depth great for adults. Surf Club restaurant easy walking across park. Shopping centre also near by. "

"Room smelled like cigarettes when we checked in. It was so strong and honestly made you want to throw up. We called the front desk as we could barely breathe in the room. They came up and confirmed how bad it was but sad they didn’t have another room to move us to. There wasn’t even a window in the room to air it out so we had to stay in the room coughing on the smell of cigarette all night. Honestly makes me question how much attention they give to housekeeping if someone “cleaned” that room...
