"We stayed as a small family during the Easter holidays, mainly to use the pool and spa facilities, with the hotel’s proximity to Gloucester Docks (around 2.5 km) also a key reason for booking. Overall, the experience was mixed. On arrival, our room had issues—most notably the shower. The bath–shower mixer tap diverter didn’t work, and water pressure was extremely poor, to the point even a bath was just a trickle. "The bedroom was spacious and clean. Everywhere was clean and in good condition - no peeling paint or mustiness you sometimes get with old buildings. The staff could not do enough for you. Everywhere was warm and comfortable. The bars were busy enough to have ambience, but not packed. The pool was brill."

"The consistency of room service standard was not there. One day my room was cleaned well, i had 4 bottles of water i had 4 biscuits for each of us staying in the room. The next day i had no bottles of water, no biscuits, the two extra beds were not made. I was very disappointed upon entering our room after a long day out. "

"Motel is beautifully designed and diner offers great food options. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The only criticism that we have, is the room was not cleaned to a high standard after initial arrival ( on arrival the room was spotless ). The days following there were multiple signs that the room had not been cleaned properly. However, I would stay again. "
