This property is in the heart of everything. Close to the beach, restaurants and downtown. You can walk everywhere or take a tuk tuk. If you stay here I would stay in the room by the kitchen it is the best...

I loved this hotel & location so much that I even extended my stay. The staff are great - Alejandro is kind and communicates well with all guests. The compound is peaceful and full of hammocks and lounging areas. I will be back!

Off season but when you pay $170 Canadian you expect a whole lot more. Self help tea and water in a common area was the highlight. No TV, older facilities but clean. I rarely write a mediocre review but I am all the way to poor on this one. Toooo much money for the service and facilities

Great location for the price. Small simple rooms. Plan to relax, Wi-Fi does not work, no tv’s, not able to work from this hotel or stream any shows.

I didn’t like all the construction around the property and I missed the bikes you used to be able to borrow. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful especially arranging a shuttle for me to the airport at a reasonable price thx

Peaceful Clean Refreshing and great Service
My friend and I went to nosara for 4 nights between other locations We negotiated between value and amenities. We chose living hotel and we are so glad. It is clean and wonderfully grounds. The pool is superb. But the best asset is Alejandro the attendant. He is so sweet and nice and so helpful. He was wondering. He arranged a few things last moment. The room was what we needed. Huge bathroom lots of hot water comfortable bed and storage. Not huge but just what you need in nosara. Looking for fancy ones elegance go somewhere else. If you want clean, inviting,refreshing all at a very fair price then choose living hotel. I would stay here over and over again

ONE OF MY FAVORITE HOTELS EVER!! WOW!! & MONKEYS
Absolutely loved this hotel. Checked in, walked outside and saw a dog looking up and barking. He was barking at some local Howler Monkeys. Very spacious triple room. The bedrooms are on the end and the bathroom is in between giving quite a bit of privacy. The pool was fine, the community kitchen was a nice bonus that we didn't know about. You might get woken up by those Howler Monkeys, but that's not a bad thing in my mind. Walking distance to the beach. Store and restaurants were close. We will be staying at this hotel again.

Felt Very At Ease
Living Hotel was the first place I stayed on my first visit to Costa Rica. Excellent customer service. I arrived around 8:00pm Sunday and the night-time security was waiting for me to kindly show me to my room. Left the power on in my rental car and drained the battery. Alejandro came through and had my battery jumped the next morning, just in time for my departure. Great smoothies on site. Grocery across the street. Close to everything. Enjoyed my stay!

What I did not like: After 5 o’clock there’s no one to talk to or pick up any supplies. If you need anything you’re helpless, security guard does not have authority to do anything. I ran out of soap and shampoo after the third day the maids did not refill, so I had to ask the security guard and he did not have authority to do anything. I also had a problem with the amount of huge ants and mosquitoes consistently inside the room. I basically had a check out two days early to escape the ant bites and mosquito bites. Not cheap at $270 per night. What I did like: It’s in a perfect location in town close to everything. The monkeys in the trees right above your room, giant bullfrogs right outside your door and beautiful birds and iguanas playing all day in the sun.

We are in shock reading all these comments :( When you checked out 2 days earlier you basically said it was all perfect but you wanted bigger waves for surfing and drove down South to Jaco Beach. Yes, the front desk is closed at 5 pm, and as far as I remember the security guard took 5 minutes to supply you with the amenities you were needing. He has access to all areas of the property because for the same reason front desk is closed, As per the bugs issue in the room, you even tipped the housekeeping, so we are really not sure what happened with this reservation. Speechless. Wish you had shared any inconformities while you were here, so we would have managed at the moment. Anyway, many thanks for your visit and good luck on your travels looking for bigger waves to surf.

Lush vegetation all around the property gives it a very serene and peaceful vibe. Close to restaurants and a coule of boutiques. A Mini market is a few doors down the street. Convenient to the energy of Playa Guiones, yet set apart from the bustle by the abundant well-kept grounds.

El precio es absurdo por lo que se ofrece. Pedí una habitación para dos y me dieron una triple, sin posibilidad de reclamar. Es una construcción barata, muy pequeño el cuarto, poco seguro, pocas comodidades. Pero si es limpio y tranquillo.

Lamentamos su mala experiencia. Al momento que realizó la reserva, la única habitación disponible era una Triple/Cuádruple, estás se venden como una sola unidad no se pueden separar y hacer cobro como doble, menos aún si realiza la reservación por un medio externo como Expedia. Creo tal vez hubo una mala interpretación de la habitación que reservaba. Le agradecemos sus comentarios, y estos serán tomados muy en cuenta.

Cute and comfy!
This cute little place was very cute and enjoyable. The room was very comfy and clean, the pool was awesome and there was a great common area by the pool to just hang out and enjoy the evening.
