No phone is bedrooms is problematic in an emergency, I had to be liaising with staff via an online chat that I had to scan on the TV to find which is complex if you don’t know how. It was pure that chance I found out, I had to go looking when the contact numbers went unanswered or disconnected immediately
Standard rooms are nice, however the rooms are quite run down and need maintenance in the form of paint work, carpets etc
The club rooms are strange, the are large but quite empty, a chair here and there to fill space but needs a designer to look at it. I expected a fridge, and upgrade amenities. Bathroom had no bath unlike the standard rooms and was very cold with no option to fix it.
I would take a standard room any-day, more compact and well thought out.
Walls are made of paper, pray you aren’t placed next to the local lowlife or your restful break could become a nightmare
Breakfast was limited, and was not made clear you had to order certain items that weren’t on display like fried or poached eggs. They claim they have a continental breakfast but there was no yoghurts, fresh pastry selection or ham/cheeses etc. Porridge was 10/10
The breakfast area is the same area the bar is in, so early morning whilst dining you see people coming in to order a pint in order to start the day which can be a little unnerving when they are in groups and a little boisterous. My suggestion is to have the bar area separate to protect hotel guest and their families are well
