"This is a cute old Inn. Old being the operative word. If you like quaint, old world charm, this is a good place to experience it. The dining room is lovely. Large windows with panoramic view of the river. We only had the German Continental breakfast which differs from standard, so didn’t get to experience lunch or dinner, but I bet it would be very good. Very lovely staff and the owner also came to welcome us."

"Needs an upgrade. We rented 2 rooms fo the weekend. Both were comfortable - no complaints. One room - the lamp didn’t work properly - had to plug in/out of wall to turn it on/off. Carpeting in main areas on stairs was filthy and very stained. Just didn’t give a great impression on overall cleanliness. Rooms were clean. We weren’t able to make breakfast the first day - due to our own plans. The 2nd day there was a power outage overnight - where power was restored at 7:15. However they...

"My wife and I are travelling around our own backyard this year.( Atlantic Canada). We recently stayed at the Ye Olde Argyler Lodge, and fell in love with all that it offered Clean well kept rooms, excellent breakfast, knowledgeable and courteous staff, and an ocean view that is spectacular to say the least. We only stayed one night, however, it is our plans to return for a longer visit. Hats Off to Alana and her staff. Job well done. Angus and Sally Capstick Juniper Mountain, NS"

From the amenities to the location and view; the warmth and kindness of the owner, the excellent food; we loved it all and will definitely be back. Mary upgraded us to a cabin at no extra cost; not something she had to do. Highly, highly recommend."
