"arrived at hotel at 12.30, my room wasn’t available, so left my case with the hotel as i needed to attend a work event.
Returned by to the hotel at 9pm to be advised they had no rooms for me, taking i paid upfront £183 10 days before.
They had advised they had over booked ans it was first come first served.
The shift manager was just rude and should not work on front of staff!
i was advised they were looking for another hotel… which they did 10-15mins taxi ride away and i was asked to move my car out of the hotel
car park into a public car park … which wasn’t achievable as i had been drinking.
It took over 1 hour to get me another hotel.
i was advised that in the morning a taxi would be arranged to bring me back to this hotel.
The new hotel had no record of this and had to try and arrange … this took a further 45 mins to get the taxi.
I was not offered any compensation, eventho they knew this was a concern they hadn’t even worked out how to compensate to ease the disruption.
