"I recently stayed in a 1-bedroom apartment at Quest St Kilda for two weeks. On the positive side, the location is fantastic, and the room was clean.
However, my stay was frustrating due to a lack of basic maintenance and dismissive customer service. I specifically booked my room type so that I would have in-room laundry facilities. "Hotel was okay. However I only booked this hotel as all the info on Expedia said that there was a pool and gym. There was indeed a pool and gym but you had to pay to use it. This was not clear in fact I feel like it was disingenuous. When I paid for my room it was made clear that you had to pay extra for breakfast and parking so they needed to add pool and gym usage to that.
In the end it was sorted out but the false advertising aspect will stay with me as its not necessary"

"Location of the hotel was great, easy to get around. The only problem was, the hotel is next to a railway, and you could hear some train noise. The noise was there but not that bad, I could still sleep.
Bedrooms and bathrooms are spacious.. living room is kind of small.
Cleaness could be better, we found stain on one of the bed’s linen. Other than that, it was clean."

"We enjoyed our stay at Clarion Suites Gateway. We were a group of 5. The staff were extremely helpful and quick to deal with a couple of minor issues. We were upgraded to a penthouse suite which was very much appreciated. They accommodated the bed layout we needed and the bedrooms are large and comfortable. The apartment was spacious and had fabulous views across the river. We would recommend this property, which is ideally located, close by to main Melbourne attractions and public transport."
