Our stay at the Western States inn was wonderful, the room was very clean with all items and facilities in good working order upon arrival and throughout our stay to departure. It was hot during our time in San Miguel, night and day, the air conditioning was great and ran well. "Originally we were assigned a second floor room. Although elevators were available my 92 year old mother wanted a ground level room. I went back into the lobby and 5 minutes later we had gotten a ground level room right in front of a handicapped parking spot. Excellent service"

"Parking was okay. Didn’t seem like there were enough spots for how many rooms there were, but we didn’t have a problem finding a space. Felt safe. Quiet. Only complaints are lack of dresser or space to put things and the tv was terrible. Very few channels and not intuitive. "

"The room was clean and looked newly renovated. There is a fire pit on the property and it’s right in Moonstone Drive across from the walking path that runs the length of Moonstone along the ocean. It’s beautiful."

"Stayed in a room overlooking the ocean and it was wonderful. You can open the window and hear the waves coming in and watch the surfers. Having breakfast delivered to your room in the morning was wonderful and the staff was very helpful. Would definitely stay again."

"It was a good location. That's why we chose it. But it was very "bare bones." The soap/shampoo in the shower was awful. There was a smell of smoke even though I thought we had a non smoking room. And when we woke up there was no hot water. It was remedied after my husband went to speak to the front desk. I would say the bathroom.waa clean but the shower has mold in it."

"Great location. Nice clean, updated room. Breakfast pastries were very good and nice choices at their continental breakfast. Our room was a corner first floor room with partial ocean view. Unfortunately if we left the curtains open to enjoy that partial view we had no privacy- as everyone on our side of building going to their room had to pass our windows. Also we were next to the stairs- no elevators. I would stay there again but make a better choice of room. Definitely select tne...
