"Room was too hot and the sign on the wall said the solution was to open a window ... fair enough, but when the airport is right beside a busy airport and road, it didn't make for a good night's sleep at all."

"We arrived on a late Saturday evening flight, ready to go to sleep. The plug on the wash hand basin did not work so the basin would not drain. Staff were very concerned and apologetic, but could not call a maintenance person until Monday morning (we were only staying 1 night) and couldn’t offer a change of room as the hotel was fully booked. A very disappointing experience and the weekend price was poor value for money. I expect better from HIE."

"Beautiful gardens surround what clearly was a stunning manor house in its day. Met at reception by a cheerful helpful lass who soon had us booked in. Room was very dated and tired and desperately needed a full refresh. A questionable mark on the bed valance caused concern. "The hotel is in a lovely building, but the decor in our room was odd and dated - it needed a bit of tlc and updating in our opinion. Lovely views of the city and beyond. We wish the blinds/curtains had been black out, as it got quite light in the morning. The big light in our room flickered a lot, so we couldn’t use it. Free parking was great. The room was cleaned each day and had basic amenities - kettle with tea and coffee, ironing board and a safe in the wardrobe."

"No hangers in wardrobe. Friends who were staying have us some of theirs. Broken window blind lying on floor in room. Both these things reported right away . Asked for change of room but hotel full due to a coach party being in. Employee couldn’t repair blind as fitting broken. Used the throw blanket from bottom of bed to cover window . Disappointing. As blanket thin an outside lights shining in . "

"It has small bar and very accommodating staff , breakfast is good for the price I pay.We managed to check in early as the room is available and we did had a good rest as we have an early flight. Location is walkable to prince st. And deans village but you can get a bus going to town centre."

"Standout was the staff who were excellent, so helpful and friendly. The room was great. No food available but staff booked us a table at a nearby eatery. Ideal for a short walk to visit the Kelpies. Location is on a trading estate but easy access to road network for onward travel."

"Easy check in with large spacious car park at rear. Very comfy bed and good quality linen. Only 1 chair in room when there was room for a 2nd - I hate having to sit on a bed in a hotel room. Nice clean bathroom, with big fluffy towels. Luggage rack and large wardrobe space. Iron and ironing board, plus hairdryer. No usb sockets, but plenty of 3-pin sockets.
