"The rooms at the property need to be updated. The pool was not clean. The towels are very small. However, breakfast was nice with different options available. "We had a relaxing stay at the Blue Heron. They have a nice breakfast in a cute breakfast area. The dockside bar and restaurant was very good and convenient with excellent service. We also tried out the onsite steakhouse (T-bones), great food and drinks. One of the best things about our stay was the view from our balcony. We had an upper floor facing the lake. "We were assigned Room 101. Unfortunately, it was not clean. We found several cigarette butts under the bed, which was especially concerning since we were traveling with our toddler. "Good waterfront rental. I mistakenly thought it was located on Lake Michigan. It is NOT located on Lake Michigan. It’s located next to a strip mall which is convenient with a Walgreens, Aldi’s and Jewel grocery store within a few blocks of the motel. Lake Chesterton is located behind the motel with a nice view.
