"Exceptionally nice staff. Beautiful onsen and most of the time had the whole onsen to myself, and it’s limited to 4 people at a time at max. The breakfast was amazing. Really nice garden view from our room which is shared with other rooms but felt private. There are also lots of shops and temples to explore in Ohara that are much less crowded than Kyoto. "

"It's a peaceful hotel surrounded by gorgeous mountains. It provides a traditional Japanese experience. I'd recommend it to anyone visiting Japan. It has an onsen, so no private bathroom (toilets are also public). You sleep on a futon that you set up yourself. "What an amazing stay in the heart of Gion with an easy walk to everything. Lots of eateries close by and a 2 minute walk to the station and Main Street of Gion. The service is excellent and we loved the amenity bar stocked with toiletries. The room is comfortable and quiet you just need to use your ninja skills to get in and out of the bed we booked the king room so there is no space to walk around the bed. We would stay here again in a heartbeat."

"Das beste Hotel in dem ich bis jetzt in 4 Wochen Japan war. Nur das Fitnessstudio ist schlecht ausgestattet. Es gibt zwei Laufbänder, zwei Fahrräder und genau eine einzige Hantelbank mit Kurzhanteln bis 20 kg. Die 20er Kurzhantel gibt es dabei nur ein Mal.
