Some of the communication was difficult but the staff tried really hard and we enjoyed the stay Hard to navigate getting to and from major stations and it snowed one day at end of March Overall I’m glad we did it for the experience to be immersed in Japanese culture. "I would highly recommend this hotel. The staff are so friendly and helpful, making for a lovely stay. The rooms are Japanese style, very comfortable and clean. It is 1 minute from the beautiful Shinkyo Bridge and the edge of the national park. Walking distance to plenty of restaurants and cafes."

"Excellent service, excellent private onsen inside the room."

"Our family enjoyed staying in the quiet countryside. The reservation includes a breakfast and dinner buffer, which was delicious. They also have complimentary drinks and snacks from 3 to 6pm. The hot springs felt relaxing as well. The hotel is isolated, and the nearest convenient store is a 10 minute walk away, but the trees and mountains really make you feel immersed in nature. Great reset from the hustle and bustle of city life."

"DISGUSTING. The stench of mold and damp permeated every space and every floor. The elevator smell was the worst. Stains everywhere including the ceiling. This place hasn’t been maintained in probably 40 years. The whole area is falling apart and most buildings are abandoned. We couldn’t get out of here fast enough. I will be making a proper complaint with photos."
