Our daughter was a student at U of M and we have stayed at many of the on-campus hotels throughout the years. The Vanguard is in a class of its own! I can't wait to stay there again!!! "We had booked this hotel after staying at the Hyatt Detroit Royal Oak. Wrong decision… the website showed a bar, the eatery restaurant, and a pool. "The brekkie was good. Our neighbors were very loud until 1230 am though. They went around banging on my door and on other rooms on the floor. We called customer service but they didn't really do much about them. Other residents told them to knock it off but they kept going. We could also feel the vibrations from their music even though we were 5 rooms away."
