Only had a very quick stay but impressed with the pub, diner and the room we had, in terms of what it was and cleanliness. Bit expensive though. Staff very friendly, helpful, polite and professional. We’d happily stay there again if we can get a deal. Only thing is pub car park is extremely limited and has half a dozen spaces. However, there is plenty of public spaces around - just need to watch timings but overnight parking seems to be ok.

Nice hotel, clean, well looked after. Room was spacious with plenty of nice details and a comfortable bed. Friendly and helpful staff, good dinner in the evening in the restaurant. Sausages on my breakfast in the morning were cold but it was otherwise nice. However, I booked this as a weekend away on my own (without the kids) since going through a bereavement and was looking for some peace and quiet. There was live music below my room from 7:30pm until 11pm. It was literally making the floor vibrate. I went down and asked for earplugs and was told ‘no sorry, but don’t worry it won’t go on past 11pm’. I nearly drove home, but it was a long way. I realise it’s a pub, so I expected there would be some background noise, but it doesn’t say anywhere on the listing that they have live music at weekends and I would not have booked it if I had known. The Tesco opposite and the one stop up the road don’t sell earplugs either. Finally managed to doze off at about 1:30am after all the banging, noise from neighbours and noise from the pub stopped, then was woken up at 6am to the sound of more banging and someone hoovering. It’s also very loud when neighbouring rooms flush the toilets. So if you’re after a party night in a nice hotel with good food then go for it, if you want some peace, don’t.. not at the weekend anyway. It’s a noisy hotel and I left more stressed than I got there ..

The room was far too hot, no ventilation, couldn’t open any windows, beds were so uncomfortable couldn’t sleep, bathroom floor was disgustingly dirty, sink tap wouldn’t shut properly so water running out, no toilet lid, shutters on mirror hanging off, dog biscuits on the floor, 2lamps were not safe to use, wall near bin , splashed with tea stains! Flaking paint coming off walls flakes on floor so clearly hadn’t been hoovered! All in all, didn’t stay the second night, couldn’t stand another night in the room ( the stables) it was not very pleasant at all, I was told I would get a part refund but as off yet, received nothing. Wouldn’t stay again, very disappointed and upset about the whole situation. Cleaners need a lesson on how to actually clean because it was not up to standard at all! The only thing that was probably clean was the bed linen ? Thanks for a disappointing weekend.

All very good except for Saturday night when there was live entertainment below us, not informed of this. Staff offered another room but didn’t want to change as it was late and we were tired. Breakfast served by a lovely lady so friendly. Room very good. Staff great . Thank you

I’ve now stayed here twice, both times lovely rooms, clean warm and very comfortable. Food was good and the staff friendly and helpful. Parts of the hotel need some work and look a little frayed but I’m sure these will be addressed.

The room was comfortable and had everything we needed. The breakfast was in the covered courtyard which was a bit cool first thing in the morning. This meant that the food was not as hot as it should have been. We ate in the restaurant the evening before and it was fine. The car park is at the back of the hotel and accessed via the local supermarket car park, which is worth knowing. The location is excellent for visiting the lovely town of Olney, just on the market square.

The room was lovely and the staff very nice. I needed gluten free options and the staff were helpful despite the link to the website on dietary needs being broken. The breakfast was freshly cooked to order so this did mean there was a wait for this.

Contacted hotel 3 times with no response to check the room had a bath, so called and had it confirmed the room did have a bath. Arrived to find no bath, duty manager was unable to resolve as hotel was fully booked. Asked to see my booking and where it listed the bath, I struggled to pull it up as the WiFi is pretty bad, I collected the evidence whilst out at dinner elsewhere and advised him I had it ready for him to review however he never did come and check it out to get it corrected. We’ve stayed several times and it’s great value for money, however I was very disappointed with the fact the rook listed a bath that wasn’t actually there. As a single mum of 2, with very little rest and relaxation I was specially looking forward to this: would I stay a third time, absolutely but I would call and call again till I was sure the room had a bath 😊

We stayed for just one night. Staff service was great very helpful from the minute we hot there. Rooms are really nice bed and pillows were so comfy. Breakfast before we left was really nice and had lots of healthy options will definitely stay agsin when we visit family
