COVID-19 may have changed how we travel, but it hasn't deterred our lust for exploring. Here are some tips on how to cope with the new challenges of travelling:

• Investigate if any travel restrictions apply to your destination and origin before booking your flight. Also check if there are any conditions you'll need to follow on arrival, such as taking a COVID-19 test.
• You must wear a face mask at the airport, including at security checkpoints. Be ready to lower your mask for identification purposes when asked by a TSA employee.
• Avoid handing your boarding pass (electronic or paper) directly to a TSA officer. Instead, place your pass on the reader and then hold it up for the agent to visually inspect it.
• You are now permitted to take one container of hand sanitizer up to 12 oz (350 ml) in your carry-on luggage. This will need to be taken out for X-ray scanning.
• Place any personal items (like your phone, wallet and keys) in your carry-on instead of a bin to reduce handling during screening.
• If you're bringing food through security screening, put it in a clear plastic bag and then into a scanning bin. This reduces the likelihood that a TSA employee will need to handle your food container or carry-on bag for closer inspection.
