"Great valley view from the rooms. You have few steps to reach the room. Staff was very friendly, rooms were clean, kitchen had good utensils for 6 people. ~15mins drive from south Lake Tahoe and good shops. Overall great stay for family."

"When booking at Basecamp South, the stress is on camp. The facility enjoys a great location within easy walking distance of downtown, restaurants, etc. Rooms are basic. Few outlooks, which are mostly filled by room amenities. If you want to watch TV, make sure you bring your own streaming services. Parking is both limited and risky. Within the facility there is no where to turn around. Parking on the street is a better option if you can find a space."

"There were some ants in the room. The bed was well passed needing to be replaced. There was some long strands of hair on the bedspread. The sink would not drain as the stopper was broken. Maintenance came by quickly and said the owner wants all stoppers removed. The fix was to remove the stopper. If a ring slips off your finger then you are out of luck.
