"When choosing this beautiful location we were originally looking at staying in Opotiki (15 kms south) but decided this was a far better option based on the ammenities and views offered. The price was also less than staying in your standard motel in town. Our host was there to meet us and made us feel most welcome explaining the options and set up. He recommended a wonderful restaurant for dinner ( The Royal) and we weren’t disappointed at all. The surrounding area is rich with native birds...

"Spent one night here and was upgraded to a larger room it was quiet as it was the end of winter. Very well maintained quiet and clean would have enjoyed the outdoor area if it had been summer. Would definitely stay again particularly in summer as it’s located right across from the beach."

Everything you needed, warm, spacious, quiet, convenient and my czn is still dreaming about the shower pressure 👍 I was looking for the electric blanket on the bed to find that there wasn't one .. being in the middle of winter! To my surprise I found that what was on the bed was more than ample and there was a spare blanket in the draw. Have stayed in several other motels there but will definitely return to the Pacific Coast motel when in town."
