"Great place"

"The room smelled musty and/or moldy—it was on the first floor. The smell was bad enough that it bothered us the whole time we were there. The hallway smelled bad too. The staff were having a terrible time using their new computer system. It took over 20min to check in, and that was at 12:45am when we were desperate to get into a room. I heard another guest say the elevator door broke and she couldn’t get her bag off of it. Also the pool was out of commission."

"When our initial room didn't have much of a window, the staff was very helpful and quickly switched us to an available room with a balcony for a nominal fee. The place has a cool retro beach-motel vibe, which some may enjoy more than others but we liked. Despite the meh weather, the attached pub was pretty lively for dinner with a nice outside seating area and I'm sure that during the summer the whole place and attached small beach are very lively. We enjoyed our one-night stay and may return...

"Great stay at the Circle. Incredibly convenient for visiting the town of Fairfield, the beach, and the nearby colleges. The only note is that breakfast is very limited in what’s offered."

"not having check in staff was very uncomfortable as there is very poor cell service at hotel - took me over an hour to finally get a live person to hook me up to their wifi to complete online only check in. The room we had had King size platform beds with queen sized mattresses - with the platform sticking out about 8 inches past the mattress - at shin height where i scraped my shin several times during our stay. NOT HAPPY AT ALL"

"There was nothing about this place that we liked. The parking lot was being used by a crew of workers. The night after we slept in the king sized bed we found there was debris way down under the covers. It was disgusting. Obviously no one changed the sheets. The desk help was apologetic, but never offered to come and see what we were talking about and never offered to reimburse us!"

"Location is convenient across the street from the Shoreline Diner. Close by to Jacob's Beach, a smaller family-oriented spot. Continental breakfast suffices to get the day started with coffee available 24/7. Bathroom was spotless and room for three adults was spacious and well maintained. Highly recommended."

"Great place, staff, clean environment full breakfast. Light sleepers will have issues if they happen to wake up at night due to noises from the highway behind the hotel. I will recommend thins place for travelers."

"The bed looked clean but the floor looked liked it hadn’t been swept or mopped or whatever for a couple days. There were crumbs and other gunk stuck on the counters and bedside table. No shampoo or lotion in the room, just hand soap. Smelled like weed in our room and we paid for non-smoking."

"It was great. Easy check in and check out. Love that the chexk out qas at 11 and noe wicked early. If i go to a event in the area again i would definitely stay here again."

"The room was very dirty and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke and then marijuana smoke when we opened windows. This affected my son's asthma badly. There was hair on my sheets. Dog barking most of the night."

"As I told the desk clerk at checkout, Our toom had a funky oder, it smelled like feet. I bought a can of Lysol and sprayed the carpets and the a/c unit every time we left the room, to no avail. It still stunk. Also, I know I was there over the weekend, but the carpets in the 1st floor hall still had little circular beads all over it. The landing on the 1st floor of the fire exit stairs had a lot of crumbs all over it. I've stayed there several times and never had these problems before. The...
