"When I checked in the desk clerk told me, by the way the elevators aren’t working and I have no other rooms available except the 2nd floor you’ll have to use the stairs. We had heavy luggage and bags and coolers. The pool was dirty and the place was outdated!"

"When we booked one of the big draws was the pool. However upon arrival we were told it is closed for maintenance. My plans had changed for vacation so I booked an extra day and when I checked in I informed the front desk person of this. Was told you will need to leave the room at checkout time and come back at check in time. Thank goodness for the front desk worker the next morning who went ahead and checked me in and told me to just stay in the same room. The room was nice with the exception of...

"Found black mold in the bathroom, reeked of piss all in areas. Saw actual human feces in the walk way. No breakfast not that anything else made it a wanting experience. I’d stay away."

"The property is centrally located to Yale, Toads for concerts, is close to highway and train station. Great restaurants within a short walk. One recommendation would be a locked entry from the parking garage as there is direct access to the hotel room floors. The garage is also gated, but the added layer would have made me feel more secure. Overall, great stay and I’d definitely come back!"

"Quietest room I ever slept in and the staff at this hotel are exceptional. Bravo. I wish all hotels were Passive House certified and delivered such a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. We also used the hotel bicycles to pedal into New Haven. Super fun."

"Stayed here the weekend of my 50th Yale reunion. I cannot thank the hotel staff for taking such excellent care of me and their other guests. Reception was friendly, welcoming, and courteous; my room was beautifully clean and spacious, design highly functional, sleep quality excellent; breakfast was simple but good, with excellent service. I have friends in New Haven, and will happily stay here again when I come to visit them."

"Nice room. Nice staff. Nice breakfast. Prompt response to one issue discovered in the room. Convenient location. I did NOT like the fact that I had to go to the desk twice to have my room key reset. Once I pay for the room, I expect to have full access until check out time."

"Housekeeping staff could not come back at a later time that day to clean the room, that was disappointing. The internet was soooo sllloooowww. The lady with the colorful eyeglasses helping out with the breakfast food was very nice and pleasant (sorry I didn’t get her name). The front desk personnel were also friendly."
