Super séjour

Endroit très propre, confortable et 10 minutes à pieds de la mer. Une auto est tant qu’à moi essentiel. J’etais à l’unité 14 au dessus de la piscine avec une magnifique terrasse et vue. S’informer de l’unité loué pour ceux ayant de la difficulté à marcher. Qualité/prix super je recommande

The Property has a great terrace, pool and air conditioner. However, as we needed help, because we had no electricity 2 times and no water once, we couldn't reach anybody on both phone numbers we got! No one answered the other contact possibility we had: email! Expedia itself had also no possibility to contact anybody! And there is no reception or so. Besides of this, it is a really great spot to stay on that lovely island!

The A/C did not work properly, and the room smelled of cat urine. We needed to go to the local supermarket to buy air freshener and candles as the smell was so unbearable it caused me a headed. There were cats all around the property.

Good Area for St. Martin Beach and Dining Options

Nicely designed unit with a great view and overall facility and provided assets. Owner/manager responsive quickly to needs. (Note that there are many steps to access the rental and within it -- not a problem in general for us but likely not a good rental for any not so able guests. Inside is a descent to toilet and ascent to it from kitchen and living areas. Ascent and descent also to pool and parking -- the latter a concern with baggage and groceries.) AC only in bedroom -- also not a concern for us but that situation needs to be noted. One issue that also is a concern: the description indicated "satellite TV" which is NOT the case. There is access for subscribers to assorted TV services via a modest and fairly slow internet connection (free wifi is provided) but that is not "satellite TV" and is not a service or services everyone has subscribed to. Again, this quite simply is a communication that needs to be in the description for the property. We liked the location very much and found the unit and general property charming.

Quaint little 2 level one bedroom unit. The bathroom is upstairs and the bedroom downstairs, waking up in the middle of the night to urinate involves navigating the rather narrow staircase. The bed was comfy enough and the unit was clean. The kitchen is accessible from the porch but not within the unit. The unit should be more at a $70 per night range imho.

I love how the unit was very high up within the complex and right next to the swimming pool. The property manager was attentive to our needs. The unit was quite and spacious. The unit was a unique place to stay which immersed tenants into the culture.

For a low cost hotel, this is top notch! The staff is super sweet and they are very eco-friendly. You will feel the island and feel the people and their warmth toward you. It is welcoming and the rooms are very spacious.

Home Away From Home

This hotel and stafl are really nice there is a nice pool to cool off in anytime of the day or night and you really don't have to walk very far to catch the local bus you have nice views don't matter which apt you get step outside across the street and be careful while taking great pictures of Iguanas .Sit outside enjoy dinner , drink coffee or sip on a glass of anything and watch the sunset . If your knees are bad or an older couple I would call the hotel and check to see if the lower apts are available i had one and was very grateful .as there are many many steps to the higher level .

Helpful staff/owners. Close to the beach and close to Grand Case for restaurants. The staff was so welcoming and guided us on what to do in the area. Well appointed rooms along with a nice pool also. After many visits to a number of hotels and resorts on SXM, this place covered all the bases and I can't wait to return. Thank you!

Relaxed and Fun

I spent two weeks staying here, it is a nice quiet area, short walk to the beach with a nice ocean side town near by for evening drinks and food. The staff are all friendly and helpful and the rooms have all you require to be self-sufficient if you desire. I will be back!

Nous avons passer un très beau séjour chez Idolem. La chambre était parfaite et propre. À 10 minutes de marche de la plage Baie Orient. Celle-ci a d'ailleurs été l'un de notre coups de coeur. Facile d'accès à la route principale, resto ou épicerie. Le staff très accueillant et s'assure que tout est à notre satisfaction. Un gros MERCI! De votre gentil couple Québecois

Excellente adresse bien placée

L'accueil s'est très bien passé et le Check in fut rapide. En plus nous avons été surclassées. Très belle prestation pour le prix.nous logions au numéro 4, c'était parfait calme et juste en dessous de la piscine. Belle vue de la terrasse avec hamac sur l'étang.

Nice Residence 10 min by feet from L'Orient + pool

Nice Residence-Hotel 10 min by feet from L'Orient Beach, the staff (run by a family) is really friendly and helpful. Rooms are very spacious and comfortable, with patio, and view on the bird pond and ocean in the background, very clean also. Nice pool.

Excellent and quiet location

Rõõm in good shape when we arrived with the GM waiting for us to check in which was late due to our flight didn't land until 10pm.....no issues with the room other then a few light bulbs that burnt out that were quickly replaced. Would definitely recommend this location as I've been to 8 different locations in Orient Bay area during my 15 visits to the island

Family run nice apartments on a budget

This place is great when you are looking for a budget apartment in a quiet area for a good nights sleep, but otherwise planning to move around the island with a car. The place has a lot of stairs so not ideal for people with movement difficulties. The apartments are quiet and cool thanks to air conditioning. Beds are premium offer good sleep. Huge balconies with beautiful views. Wifi was also better than any other place on the island. Kitchenettes are also well equipped (you even get a toaster, which is really unnecessary), the bathroom less so. The place also offers a cozy swimming pool with views at the salt lake. Usually nobody here so good to relax and enjoy the sunshine. As for the negatives: We lacked a hairdryer and we did not get one even on request. So be prepared to bring your own. There is really nothing in the area within walking distance apart from a posh restaurant. The beach and the supermarket are NOT walking distance, unless you don't mind walking 20+ mins among cars with no sidewalks. You need to have a car, bike or some sort of way to move around from here, but can otherwise be a good base. Room service is every 4 (!) days which we found too rare. Room service every 2 days or so would have made it much more comfortable. Mosquitoes also show up around dawn and dusk so be prepared for those too.
