"Fantastic food, great beach hotel "

"The traditional Japanese hotel is so spacious that it surprises us the minute we walked in. It has a full living area, a bedroom and a long patio that provides excellent view to the back yard. It has a private indoor hot spring tub and a private outdoor onsen. The back yard lead to hotel garden area which has all kinds of beautiful flowers and plan. Mountain is just next to the backyard. The ambience was excellent. A simple traditional Japanese breakfast was provided for free a request."

"The hotel is very great! If you search t sleep in a very traditionnal japanese Ryokan (tatami bed, and futon bed), it's perfect. For a budget price, we got a huge room of 45m2 with sea view! At night, we can hear the nice sound of river. The hotel is 13min by walk from atami station and 9min from beach (just follow the river, between very quite old streets). The spa is small but very nice too! "

"Great place for families visiting Shimoda and Izu Peninsula. Definitely a hotel catering to Japanese tourists, but with a little Japanese and respect the staff is very friendly and works with you. Some of the staff spoke some English. Bathhouse, arcade, and hotel amenities were great. Walking distance to everything downtown and easy spot to drive to other locations. Would definitely stay here again with family on vacation. "

"Great ryokan, totally worth the trip to the area, lots to do between hiking out to the suspension bridge to soaking in seven different private onsens. The service was amazing and all meals were delicious, a must stay."
