We love the 1 bedroom suite which is a really large room! For us the price and size of the room beats the other hotel near Carleton. However, the train noise with the windows open at night was really loud. Once asleep it didn't bother my daughter or I, but it did disturb my husband. The sofa bed is unsleepable and we bring an inflatable bed. All in all though this is our choice when coming to Northfield.

Country Inn and Suites in Northfield is clean, newly renovated and my stay was comfortable. But there is nothing that stands out - it is an average, cookie-cutter American hotel with dull furnishings and vending machines. I have no idea how my stay there is worth $230 per night when nothing out of the ordinary was provided.

Our room smelled funny, not fresh. I liked having coffee in the lobby but it ran out in the morning and no one filled it. The breakfast was just ok. The whole place is dated and was rated very good but I can’t say it was.
