This is one hotel I wouldn't recommend to anybody. Eminently avoidable. Very rude staff and terrible service. The location isn't too hot either.

Pleasantly located in the main market area of Pahalgam. Nice rooms. Hot water not available 24 hours. Breakfast same everyday , monotonous, and could have been better

Best experience in Pahalgam

We had booked a regular room for two but the awesome management upgraded us to the cottage since nobody was occupying it then. The staff was so concerned over our food and well being that it felt like home. The cottage at Volga tops even the best hotel there. Highly recommended.

Fantastic service

Hotel is average and so was breakfast. But the staff is very cooperative and helpful. I booked the room for my parents. The taxi driver they hired for 4 days created problem for them and left them in the middle and asked for extra money to complete the journey. But I am really thankful to the manager of hotel. He helped my parents in all possible ways and made their trip very comfortable. He arranged for the alternate taxi for them. Its a nice budget hotel.

Location good,but we did not have good experience.

We had booked Budget room with Breakfast for two days from 12th August to 14th August.Due to unavoidable circumstances, could not reach Pahalgam on 12th,instead reached on 13th.On 11th August,spoke to Hotel Management,followed by SMS on 12th,requesting for return of one day rates as stayed only for a day.They said no,we requested for up gradation of room or provide free dinner for compensation,they did not oblige.Service was also not up to mark.We want recommend this hotel to others.

If u r looking for a budget hotel then volga is good. The room was not very nicely done but was not bad either. The only issue is the washroom which was dark and gloomy. The hotel compound is green with a small park.

Pay more get less at Volga

We booked Deluxe rooms (2 for 2 nights) but got ordinary rooms (2 rooms for 2 nights) as manager had allotted our rooms to walk in customers while ignoring our bookings made well in advance. Hotel was very sure that we have to take small ordinary rooms (he simply handed over 2 keys saying these are the only rooms left now - at 8 pm). When we insisted for our rooms more rooms (ordinary but a bit bigger were offered), further insistence lead to better ordinary rooms in better part of the hotel. However, we never got our deluxe rooms during our entire stay, despite the threat of check out and relocation to another hotel. Room service is lazy and consider yourself lucky if you get anything warm. Morning service starts at 7 am, so keep sleeping till then even if you are an early riser. Location is the best thing about the hotel. It is bang in the market and you can stroll down the lane for a window or actual shopping, cab hiring, etc. Dana-Pani restaurant is just across the road. View from the hotel is magnificient, but then this is the case for entire Pahalgam. So enter this hotel at your own risk, especially if you've pre-booked your rooms.

Pathetic Condition of Rooms

The rooms were provided was old type rooms with pathetic condition. The extra bed which provided was old pillow and unwashed cover. The saddest part was the bathroom was ( nali-tap) was even not covered. It like hole in bathroom. May be other wing rooms in good condition but where we stayed was very bad. will never recommend Hotel Volga for stay. Food at Hotel is good. And location also nice. But beware of rooms conditions where go are going to spend night stay.

Excellent location. Right in the market place.

Very good location. Only disappointing was since the hotel was oversold on the day of our arrival & the reception staff were trying to push us to another hotel. When informed to GM of the hotel - Mr. Mehraj who immediately intervened & helped us get our rooms which was blocked for us. Rest the ambiance, services, facilities of the hotel are very good. The staff is very courteous & with spontaneous services. Once again thanks Mr. Mehraj.

Hotel is good.I face a problem with WiFi, WiFi is not working in hotel.for WiFi you will go in the garden. When rain falling how to go in garden. I will stay 2 night , no body come to clean room for 2nd night.
