My wife and I were very impressed with Berney and Clive from start to finish. They are excellent hosts. They made us feel very welcome and comfortable and are polite, warm and attentive hosts The BEST accommodation and hosts that we have ever encountered. ( we are : retired nurse and teacher) . The breakfast was delicious with LOADS of choice - fruit, yoghurt, cereals, coffee, tea, toast as well as the cooked breakfast ( beautifully cooked and served hot ).

Enjoyable stay

From the moment we arrived at the Carrington, we were made to feel very welcome. Berni and Clive are a lovely, friendly couple who seem genuinely pleased to see you and to do what they can to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The double room we booked was spacious and comfortable, with extras provided including not just the usual hot drinks and biscuits but bottled water too, refreshed daily - something we have never known before. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful - I am not keen on tomatoes, mushrooms or eggs and instead I was provided with double helpings of some of the things I do like - unexpected and appreciated. Having stayed in a variety of similar-sized establishments around the country, we would rate the Carrington as right up with the very best. A return visit is certainly on the cards.

Great Stay!

Fab, fab, fab. Friendly, accommodating, top quality and a very full, beautifully, cooked English breakfast to set you up for your day. Their local knowledge about hidden gems help you tailor your days to suit you.

Me & the kids had an amazing stay. Clive & Bernie were awesome. They made us feel welcome & were soo friendly. I’d recommend this place 1m%. The breakies are amazing & they source local produce. The rooms are spacious & the beds soo comfy. Just wish we’d stayed longer.

Absolutely fabulous 👌

Highly recommended. Amazing people Berni and Clive make lovely familiar atmosphere. Super comfortable bed, delicious breakfasts, room extremely clean and cosy. Everything affordable for single mum of two. Definitely we want back there again.

Stunning hospitality and incredible value

I work away a lot and this must be the best guest house I've stayed in. Fantastic hosts, spotless rooms and wonderful food, I doubt you'll find a better stay or better value anywhere! I'll be back soon!

What a little gem of a B&B. 4* min.

Clive and Bernie are the friendliest people you will ever meet in this business. A warm welcome was given the second my family walked through the door. I stayed with my wife and son(14) and daughter (8).They made me and my family feel like their own family. Nothing was too much for them as long as we were happy. The room was spotlessly clean, bottled water, biscuits, coffee tea and hot chocolate were made available. Toiletries were gratis, the room we had #6 was clean bright and comfortable. Breakfast was whatever you wanted really. From continental, fruit and yogurts to the full English. If you wanted anything else like ommellet or skippers you could have them. They just wanted us to be fed and happy. This place should easily be a 4 star rating. Me and my family wish Clive and Bernie all the very best for their great little B&B and I would bet anybody who would stay here would have a fabulous visit. Location is superb for parking and access to beach and town. 3 mins walk if that to the beach.

Very welcoming, owners very friendly and helpful. Clean, light airy family bedroom. All facilities available including fresh towels in bathroom. Excellent cooked breakfast. Reasonable prices. Recommend to anyone Lovely steam train trip from Paignton to Greenway National Trust holiday home of Agatha Christie is well worth a visit
