Location excellent but i must say the owners are fantastic it's a great place location wise people wise and the breakfast is excellent we had the evening meal as well which was pure quality and excellent ir had everything food WiFi staff room all great I could not fault it if I tried will return thoroughly enjoyed our selves

On our arrival though a little later than expected we parked right outside the accommodation and we was met at the door by one of the lovely owners who gave us our room and front door keys, with information about breakfast times etc. On 1st impressions I knew it was spotless and very well presented. The seafront and all that paignton has to offer within walking distance within minutes. Our room was at the back of the house which suited us perfectly. The room was very big with a king-size bed, tv, ensuite, sofa in the room, tea and coffee facilities. Again immaculate, and I'm always hesitant at rooms with carpet but again no complaints. We dropped our bags and went for a walk to the seafront for food. I recommend the one opposite the park and the corner. Having returned it was again quiet in the hotel, exhausted after travelling etc we settled down for the night and was not dissapointed, the bed was very comfortable and the room itself airy, I did use the fan provided as only as this aides sleep and for no other reason. Breakfast alone I would return for. Fresh, abundant, and more than satisfying to set you up for the day. It was at breakfast we met the other owner and she was delightful and respectful. This hotel is 100% better than you would get in a chain, and it is reminiscent of how tourism and accommodation should be in a seaside town. The price we paid as a last minute should have been double as the hotel is deserving of it. Thank You.

Our hosts Leigh and Vicky were very welcoming and the accommodation was spotless and very comfortable. Thoughtful touches like a borrow or swap books area and a bucket & spade library for guests to use in the summer months. Breakfast was very good and freshly prepared to our exact request. If we're down this way again, we will definitely stay here again. Thank you.

Perfect location for the train station and seafront. Hotel very clean and tastefully decorated. Breakfast was varied and plentiful. Hosts friendly and happy to assist with any requests or queries. Double room was bigger than expected and immaculately clean. Overall a very enjoyable stay and wouldn't hesitate to stay there again when next in Paignton.

Not a high end hotel so basing a fair review on that. Owners were very helpful and friendly. Room was very clean and well maintained. Parking was provided in a nearby multistorey car park free of charge(ground floor) Breakfast was very nice with plenty of choice. Overall a nicely ran small hotel that provided a base for exploring the area.

Clean, modern and value for money

We stayed 2 nights, the hosts were lovely very helpful and friendly, nothing was too much trouble. The rooms were decorated very tastefully and had all the facilities you could wish for, there were teas, coffee and hot chocolate in the room and a self service bar downstairs in the breakfast room. We were lucky enough to be able to park our car in front of the hotel for our stay. We would defiantly recommend staying and will be back.

Short but enjoyable stay

This hotel is well located close to bus & rail stations and only a couple of hundred yards from the promenade and the pretty Victoria Park. As with the majority of property in the area this is an older style premises with the typical drawbacks like steep staircases. On the positive side though the owners have introduced modern adaptations like proximity lighting on the stairs, wall mounted TVs in the rooms and electric charging point on the forecourt. As an added safety feature they have installed an in/out board in the hallway in case of fire. Our hosts were very welcoming and breakfast offers varied and plentiful. This hotel is particularly good for families as the breakfast room is stocked with board games, an honesty bar and a large screen TV for i-player use to keep families amused in the evenings. There is also a book shelf with a range of tourist leaflets in the hallway and a 'library' of buckets and spades in the porch for use on the beach.

St Weonards Hotel is weally wonderful.

Our hosts warmly welcomed us with a nice cup of coffee, then showed us to our freshly cleaned excellent room, even though we were hours earlier than arrival time. Our free parking was pointed out to us and after we parked properly we followed the signs for the Dartmouth Steam Railway. 3 minutes level walk found us at the Station where the helpful staff gave us our prebooked tickets with no fuss and made us feel really welcome. After a magical steam powered journey to Kingswear, we had a delightful day in beautiful Dartmouth before returning to Paignton. We could have ordered a meal at the Hotel but decided to experience the seafront, so after a level walk of 300 metres we were on the seafront. Amongst the attractions were a fun fair, a pier, 2 crazy golf courses, numerous eateries, including The Costero Loungue, where we ate a really nice curry. St Weonards Hotel is excellent value for money and well placed for aĺl the attractions in Paignton. In the morning cereals, muesli, yoghurt, orange juice, toast and full english breakfast were just part of the numerous excellent choices available. We can't recommend it enough.
