"Very lovely place to stay in the old town! My room was very clean and spacious, and all of the hotel staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely pick Friends again as they do seem like old friends and make the stay seamless and easy to manage for guests. If you have a tour - be aware that it is only accessible from one side for vehicles but it makes it a bit safer in my opinion. You can buy little snacks and beer/water in the lobby if you need and fairly priced. Overall, I do recommend...

He made sure I had everything I needed. He even booked a tour for me and another guest in which he took the time to be our guide and driver. Great stay! Thank you Hernan!"

However, whilst the staff were all very pleasant and helpful, the hotel fell some way below what we, as fairly experienced international and third world travellers, consider to be quite reasonable expectations. It is located in a side street at the very edge of the ‘safe’ historic old town, to the point where locally-based lunchtime hotel diners...

"A very comfortable well maintained historic hotel in a perfect location only steps away from independence plaza. The staff are very friendly and super helpful. A tip: get them to organise your airport transfer for US $30 (pay them directly). Breakfast was good with choices."
