The property is lovely and the staff makes you feel welcome and. pampered, especially compared to the many keyless/staff-less hotels. The pool area is so wonderful -- with soft music playing and lots of chairs and umbrellas. It was Coachella weekend, but the guests were respectful and quiet. The restaurants next door, especially Birra are wonderful places to eat or have delivery.
The rooms were the issue for me. The beds were super comfy. However, I ended up switching rooms. After the first night, the AC wasn't working that well and by the next morning, the room had a smell to it. I let the front desk know, and they promptly moved me to a different room that we nice and a bit more spacious, without the smell.
However, there was more street noise at night. In fact, noise was in an overall issue in that room. Between the street noise, the noisy AC and a whining intermittent noise in the pipes, it was hard to sleep. Next time, I'll bring ear plugs.
Advice to travellers - ask for a room away from the street, but bring earplugs. My feedback to the hotel, spend some time in each room, and fix the little things that could make this a 5 star review.
