When owned by IHG (Staybridge) we saved enough for free nights not honored by new owner Hilton (Homewood Suites). As a regular guest, we've witnessed suite decline in care for furnishings, cleanliness. Example, I have photos to show horrific chair stains, knuckle punches in fridge, dirty cook/serveware, glasses, bowls, etc. Why? Because the dishwasher is set on Rinse Only. No matter how much I tried to adjust for heat/wash/clean/etc., not able to do so and housekeeper said, "that's how they want it". So why doesn't housekeeping handwash extra dirty glass bowls, etc? Again, I quote "we are to clean within a period of time and unless we see it, we won't check everything in the cabinets and drawers. We found one serving bowl, two drinking glasses, 3 forks, 2 spoons, and a knife in their places unwashed. Furnishings have not been upgraded since we began patronizing IHG's Staybridge in 2014. The only upgrades to date include food service area/lounge, a very small putting green and removal of the second pet space. The larger pet area is frequently out of bags to pick up after pets, dead birds and stickers that get stuck in pet's paws, something that has never happened before. Charging for parking that was always free to guests with decal for windshield must be the new normal. When asked to have the dirty, soiled chair removed from the room, it wasn't until the night before departure before replacement brought to the room. I'm happy to provide photos to show reason for review.
