"After a very stressful at our Airbnb, the BW took our very last minute reservation and had our room ready all within a hour. The front desk staff were friendly, accommodating, very helpful and just made us feel relaxed and welcome. The room was small but clean and had three beds for the three of us. "We booked a last‑minute stay at this hotel after a typhoon disrupted our original plans, and it turned out to be an excellent choice. We reserved two triple rooms; the beds are twin‑size by American standards, so each room comfortably fits three people. After checking in, we stopped by the bar for drinks and food, and the prices were surprisingly reasonable. The hotel’s amenities and overall design were outstanding—modern, convenient, and thoughtfully laid out. It’s also in a great location: close to Namba Station and the JR line, and about a 12‑minute walk to the Dotonbori area. Our rooms had incredible views, and even though we could hear the storm winds outside, the comfort of the hotel made it easy to relax. There’s a 7‑Eleven inside the building, which was extremely convenient. The hot tub and pool are located on the top floor, though there is an additional fee to use them. The onsen is free, but note that it follows traditional Japanese customs—no swimsuits allowed—so be prepared if you’re not familiar with onsen etiquette. Checkout is at 10 a.m., and the hotel offers free luggage storage. A tip: the line for luggage storage starts forming around 9 a.m., and many guests wait until right at 10 to drop their bags, so plan accordingly. Overall, this hotel is an excellent choice for business travelers, solo visitors, couples, and families. Highly recommended."

"I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Hotel New Otani Osaka. What impressed me most was the staff. Every interaction—from the front desk to the luggage team, bellhops, and attendants outside the hotel—was friendly, professional, and highly attentive. I’ve stayed at many hotels around the world, and this was one of the best hospitality teams I’ve experienced. The location is excellent. Situated near Osaka Castle in a business district, the hotel is surrounded by cafés and convenience stores, while Osaka-jōkōen Station is right next door for easy access to the rest of the city. Another highlight was Patisserie Satsuki in the lobby. The croissants and cream puffs were phenomenal and among the best I’ve ever had. While I didn’t personally order room service, my friends—both serious food lovers—raved about the quality of the food and said it was excellent. The only downside is that parts of the hotel feel a bit dated. My first room had limited convenient outlets for charging devices, and I ended up unplugging a lamp to charge my phone. However, the second room I stayed in was more updated, suggesting the hotel is actively renovating portions of the property. Despite the dated feel in some areas, I would gladly stay here again. The outstanding staff, excellent food, and convenient location far outweigh any shortcomings, making Hotel New Otani Osaka an easy recommendation."
