"U could smell the swedge from the bathroom "

"We just had a 4 night stay at Ocean Sky and from the photos on their website we were really excited to stay. When we arrived our first impression of the lobby was nice but that changed once we got to our room. The room was very small, our balcony looked over a ventilation system that ran constantly and was loud with a small sliver of ocean view. The balcony was dirty, covered with pigeon poop and very outdated for the cost of stay. Along with the pigeon poop, the air conditioning unit is also on the balcony making a loud noise and leaving a constant trail of water on the ground. Of the 4 nights we stayed our room was serviced 2 times, both times I had to flag down a house keeper to ask for service even though our light was on all day, and we were not in the room all day either. The first time it was serviced the trash wasnt even emptied in the room. The elevators weren't working properly the whole duration of our stay, there was one working elevator and then the service elevator in the main lobby. One of the days during our stay the elevators in the main lobby quit working completely and only the beach elevator was working at its bare minimum and the stairwell door was locked from the outside and was inaccessible. The pool was very nice and we enjoyed spending time down there. The jacuzzi and bar at the pool were convenient and appreciated additions. The food and drinks were very over priced and beware gratuity is automatically added onto your bill! "

"First off, either I high standards, or some people giving good reviews for this place have low standards. I’m going to say other people have some pretty low standards (no offense). What a huge disappointment this place was. The pictures online are NOT what you’re getting. Yes, I did not book the room with a balcony or an ocean view, I get it, but I expected at least a clean room that was modern. What I got was a sterile room with dirty floors, windows and zero natural light. A college dorm has more character and is most likely cleaner. The view of the parking lot is what it is, That really didn’t matter anyways, but I would have been nice to at least see through the window. The windows for the entire building are absolutely filthy. I’m sure they haven’t been cleaned in years, The floors throughout the property are pretty gross as well. That was our first impression checking in. The room’s floors were just as bad. We were afraid to touch anything. The bathroom was pretty bad too. The door comes within 1/2” from hitting the front of the toilet. You either have to step in the shower of between the shower and the toilet, just to close the door. The bathroom was that small. Not to mention the sink was tiny as well, making it difficult for 2 people to share. The only redeeming quality for this place was the beach access. But I’m sure you can get that at the 100s of other properties near by. Do yourself a favor, don’t book here, unless the above doesn’t really bother you. "

"This is a resort. So one should expect decent quality service. While the staff was friendly, they seem to be restricted to make any sort of accommodations. I booked this hotel for my wife’s birthday, we arrived early around 2pm and was told there was no chance for an early check in but that they could hold our bags. 4 o’clock rolls around - we check in, we have dinner plans - well we missed those because after an hour of waiting for our bags to be delivered we went down to see what was going on - no one could find our bags - now I understand things happen, that part I’m okay with. My problem was with how it was handled, the bellhops simply made excuses and said they didn’t know they didn’t take them - the manager was accusatory and basically said I must have done something to lose them but that he would check security and walked away? Finally after speaking with 4 staff members, I found a nice front desk lady who was at least WILLING to assist in a solution, she brought me to 3 different rooms in the back where the bag may be and ended up finding them (the ballroom?). 1/5 staff members exercising hospitality. Simply frustrating to deal with for what’s supposed to be a “luxury” hotel. Aside from that - I was told we could get a high floor room after calling ahead of time and informing them of my wife’s birthday - well we were put on the second floor, alright nbd. Still a vibe. The rooms are nice, the Marble was stunning, but the tub did not drain… not um sanitary or luxurious"

"Easy check in, everyone was very helpful, including the valet staff. Nice to have beach chair included. Great beach access. Beds are comfy and the room was nice and clean."
