"You really couldn’t ask for a better resort with young children. I have seen this hotel for years and it definitely lived up to the hype. My two kids never ran out of stuff to do. We had a three bedroom villa and it was absolutely perfect. I really enjoyed the seafood pasta at both restaurants and the kids menus were diverse to cater to any preferences. We spent a lot of time at the resort, but also left to go to neighboring towns and it is a beautiful area to explore if you have a car."

"We had an incredible time at Monte da Vilharinha. Driving into the property is like something out of a movie. The rural landscape boasts quintessential while buildings, herds of cows with bells, fields of flowers and streams. When we arrived we were greeted by Jafer and the property dog cookie. Jafer was the most incredible host guiding us around the property, letting us know where to take the (free) bikes and available to answer any questions via WhatsApp at any time. "After a difficult start trying to find my villa on a cold rainy night because of the useless map given out at check-in, number 407 proved spacious and comfortable and the kitchenette well stocked and easy to use. The cleaning and support staff were all friendly. Breakfast when ordered was generous and good and it was a delight to be given fresh bread on the first morning. "Room clean just very outdated, was given 4 keys to unlock doors, one for front entrance door, if arriving back to hotel and nobody's there, an old style skeleton key for room door, another key for patiodoor, and a key for safe, was interesting to say the least. Staff are very friendly speak English and make you feel welcomed, also will give you help on where to go and how to get there. Area a little far from anything within a normal walking distance. Having a vehicle is definitely recommended...
