"Good basic local hotel in a magical location - please know this is a good Mexican hotel, not Canadian or American, so adjust your expectations. Incredible view but you’ll have to work for it, up a series of switchbacks on a very steep and winding cobblestone road. Down is harder to navigate but the heat gets you on the way up if you try to head back for a siesta or a bit of pool time. "Casa Kal Mar exceeded expectations. The decor felt so natural and perfect for the setting and the whole place was well kept and spotless. The views were stunning, the breakfasts delicious, and the staff was kind and interactive. Sylvia assisted with bookings for whale watching, massages and transport and had great restaurant recommendations as well. Highly recommend."

"This adults-only guest house with big, spacious rooms (including kitchenettes) is about a ten minute walk into town. Hillside with great ocean views, you either need a car or a taxi on call if you are not a walker and can’t hike up and down stairs. I happened to love the exercise and the clothing-optional pool!"
