He was so warm and welcoming and was always available to us if/when we needed something. Our rooms were gorgeous with everything you could possibly need. "I stayed at Sands in 2018 and went back with my sister November 2025. Everything was exactly as I remembered it!!! The best thing about the Sands is the staff. Front desk and Hemingways are super, but a special shout-out to Jose and the guys on the beach! I lost my phone (with all of my son's wedding photos that I hadn't had a chance to back up) in the ocean in a waterproof cover. "Room was very clean and spacious. Resort was remote and super quiet. Had entire beach to ourselves most of the stay. Saw bald eagles, ospreys , herons, and turtles right at the beach out front. Dirt road in was a little rough but you just had to drive slow Traffic on millennium freeway and leeward highway were brutal at rush hour in the am and pm so if you plan boat dives early stay in middle of island"
