"Stayed at a handful of hostels and this one's in a class of its own. Bunk beds are comfortable and private, with plenty of lockable storage underneath. The space is clean, warm, and genuinely well put together. Staff are friendly and they set the tone for the place. Taco Tuesday is not to be missed. Easy in and out, free parking just a block away. And the location speaks for itself."

"Great hotel right next to Pacific Beach. All amenities were spot on and the access to the beach is right outside the hotel. I had a great view of the beach from our balcony, only downside is that it is next to the pool area so other guests stay out there past 10 pm talking. The staff is super friendly and helpful with any questions. 35$ per day parking is worth it if you don’t want to spend your day searching for parking and if it’s a rent a car it is definitely protected in the garage. "The kids loved the outdoor pool and nightly outdoor movies. Landscaping was beautiful and well maintained. The room was a bit outdated (knew this based on other posts) but clean. Overall we enjoyed our stay at The Dana and had no issues."

"The OB Hotel is ideal for families wanting to visit and have Beach Days! It’s directly across the street for easy walking! They also provide a foot rinse to rinse the sand off your feet before going into your room. The flooring is not carpet so you don’t feel bad bringing some of the ocean water and sand back with you. Our patio was private with tall chairs so we could people watch and view the sunset each night. Will definitely return!!"

"Bedroom itself did not have AC unit! This bedroom is supposed to sleep 4 people, with no AC in humid San Diego? We paid nearly $400 a night for no AC in the bedroom and to boot there was no elevator for our tower. None of this was information was given to us before or during check-in . "Motel was run down. It was near the airport and not well insulated so planes were VERY noisy. There was not enough parking for all of the rooms. They charge a parking fee and if you have to park on the street they will reimburse you, if you ask. The only upside is location. It’s a beautiful little beach area that you can walk to. But, I wouldn’t choose this place again."
