"The property in the location are great as well as the grounds. However, the rooms are tired and need renovations. The carpets are very dirty. The balcony chairs were broken and the air-conditioning didn’t really work properly. The property doesn’t justify the price they charge nor does it live up to the Fairmont standard compared to other properties around the country or the world and is overpriced for what you get. The staff is very friendly and helpful, but as indicated above, the property is in need of a renovation."

"My only issue was that I did not receive the discounted rates that LXR offered because I made my reservations through Expedia. I feel Expedia should be more transparent or at least or the same discounts as the hotel does. "

"I had a really disappointing experience at the Eden Hotel in Santa Monica. The biggest issue is that the photos on the website and app are completely misleading. What you see online is not what you actually get. The room itself was extremely small and had a dark, almost “jail-like” feel in both size and color. The rug was visibly dirty and worn, and the bathroom felt outdated and unclean. Overall, the condition of the room did not match the price point at all. There were also basic functionality issues, almost no accessible outlets for charging phones and barely any space to store luggage, which made the stay even more inconvenient. Another downside was that the bar and restaurant were closed during my stay, which was not clearly communicated beforehand and definitely impacted the overall experience. That said, I do want to highlight that the host was exceptional, friendly, professional, and did their best to be helpful despite the issues with the property itself. To make matters worse, valet charged me for two cars when I only had one, and there were additional undisclosed fees beyond the resort fee that was mentioned upfront."

"The hotel is classic. Old world charm. It felt like back in time. Although the property is clean, the smell was unbearable. It smells like pee everywhere, comparable to a nursing home. Room carpet needs an update. Bed and pillows were uncomfortable. The best part were the staff. They were awesome and helpful especially Diné. He’s the best! Parking was also an issue. Only valet is available. Hotel is close to everywhere. Walking distance to the promenade, the beach and Santa Monica Pier. Safe area."

"The location is what makes staying here worth it. It’s a bare minimum hotel. A room with two beds and barely any extra room to do anything else. Bringing any type of meal back to the room was tricky figuring out where/how to eat. We basically eat in our beds. Not a terrible experience, but I would stay somewhere else if I were to come back."

"Although the room served its purpose, it was clean, I would not recommend it for longer than the one day we stayed. It showed one room left as price jumped and I didn’t see any other guests other than me. "
